Welcome Harland, Imho gametracker sucks. You can use xfire to find our servers. If you go to the home page you will see a server list, you can simply click on the xfire logo by the server you want to play on. It will put the server info into your xfire favorite servers list. You can launch them from there. I don't know if the admin that handles our xfire group will add you there until you make clan status, but you can simply click add friend and search for whom ever you want to add. I bet most game admins game name and xfire are the same. After you get some xi members in there you will see their friends pop up and you can add them too. My xfire is fraggedyann and you are welcome to add me if you like. Or you can click on members in the tool bar at the top of the forums. You can click on admins, then when you find the cod5 admins you can see what their xfire names are from there too. Don't worry about old fart jokes, you are probably about the median age for the cod5 crew. Welcome again!

I did not bother with a new card. changing the ram and getting it properly seated did the trick. The rendering from the onboard video is a bit slow but the computer runs fine and does not throw errors now. So, to my wife its all good and thats all I care about.

Crunch, When I put the new ram in there was something that popped up like the cmos and asked if I changed the ram, I said yes and the system saw the new ram. I ran novabench afterwords and it was working. So far so good. There have only been a few errors in the last couple of days. Nothing like it used to be.

Thanks Toes, I don't think she needs that! She can already beat my butt at farmville as it is. Technoboy, thanks for the link, I installed it and actually found two problems. One pretty bad. It reported that the computer had 1gig of ram. Uh...........I could have sworn I put two in. So, I popped the side of the case off and looked inside...Two sticks of 1 gig ram.....hmmmm one side of one stick was not pushed in all the way. So, I had a 2gig stick of higher quality ram I put in and viola! It runs like it should no errors on her games, but the games were a bit slow still, but she was not getting flashplayer errors and that sort of thing. When I ran novabench it gave me this for the gpu: Pixel Shader 2 (-50%) and stopped the test. After I clicked on ok it finished the test. Then when it gave me the results it said that her computer was putting out 12 fps on the 3d test. Hmmmm Updated drivers, no good.....My Asus does over 300fps on that same test. So, I think she has something wrong with the onboard video card. It is a 256 meg card. I think I am going to put a 1gig card from newegg and install that. I bet all is ok then. Actually even with the low gpu performance the games still played ok, not too bad at all, but I bet a video card working properly would help out. Thanks for the help. You saved me some money, and way more money than you know if I got divorced over this stupid thing.....LOL the bleeping computer is all my fault you know!

My wife has an old desktop, put together by me. It has an E2180 processor and onboard video and a beats the hell out of me motherboard. 2 gigs of ram. Anyway it has been years since I built a computer and I am not sure that I want to build one and so purchasing a system is good by me too. Oh, it has Winxp pro on it. Ok, she games. Facebook Zanga games which run flash. She uses firefox to play them. The problem is that she gets error after error and the games respond slowly. I am getting to the point that I think the antique computer she has just can't handle the games. On top of that she gets all kinds of crap on that thing mainly due to XP....... Oh, I am an XP hater. Give me 64 bit Win7 any day of the week. I digress.. so, what I am looking for is a system that can run those type of games easily and costs the least amount of money. I know, I am being cheap. If you don't have any experience running those games don't bother to comment, they hog up more resources than you think. Now, my Asus Laptop G73 rips right through them. There must be something in between a full blown gaming computer and a bottom end POS that will run them. Any ideas? DjMot???? Thanks. Frags. Ar's were shot last year with a 3d printed lower receiver. Those won't blow up in your hand because the upper was still an upper and not printed. Anyway there are so many ways to build guns without a licensed receiver it is not funny. You can build tube guns with a piece of tubing and a ww2 parts kit. It is not illegal, but it is not for everybody either. I am currently building a British Sterling 9mm submachine gun into a semi auto to meet ATF requirements. The receiver is nothing more than a piece of 1.5 inch diameter 4130 steel tubing. The best part is the 34 round magazine!

The US is far far from the country with the highest death rate due to firearms. The US is far, far, far ahead as the leader in firearm ownership in the world. Estimated that there are 88 firearms per 100 population. The only reason the world is horrified at the US death rate is that the liberals all over the world have succeeded in coming up with complete and utter bullshit to get the sheep like populations to go along with the masters (politicians) wishes. Like it or not the US constitution provides for the population to own firearms, it is a right, and like it or not it is one of the founding principles of our country. The world would like to knock us down to their level and to me it is completely unacceptable. If you don't like our constitution you are allowed to leave for any of the less violent countries in the world. The founding fathers thought so much of firearm ownership that it was number 2 on their priority list. Other countries don't have the same connection to firearms, or history with them that we do. I am a firearm owner, shooter and have a carry permit and I do. It does not matter what the reason I choose to carry, it is it my right and I will try my best to keep it that way. Thankfully, the state of Oklahoma as many other states loosened gun ownership laws and have fought new ones at the federal level. The press and the libs have used the mass school shootings as proof their way is better. I say put armed guards in schools just like king obamas kids enjoy. The state of Oklahoma is considering laws allowing teachers with CCW permits to carry in school. As it should be. A law abiding citizen protecting the kids they are trusted with. I don't have a problem with it, and most here don't either. It is true that firearm ownership is a huge responsibility and if you don't care to get training and stay proficient you should not own them. Shamu's gun collection puts mine to shame, but this is the most important part if you ask me. I roll my own.

The new speed on the DM server is nowhere near the speed of the Cod4 Ace mod server. I won't even play on that one because the bullets are going nowhere near the person you are shooting. To tell you the truth the new DM speed is only a notch up, and really I don't even notice the speed increase. I have always had to lead high pingers no matter what the speed of the server. One of these days I would love to know what the white cross means. I have not heard anything I believe about it. It is almost like the symbol you get when playing CTF and you have the flag, but that is not a cross. It is weird, and I have only seen that one on the Ace mod server. Oh DJ, just give up the bullets, stick to satchels, its more fun anyway. On the MW server my bullets don't do any damage. If the person I am shooting at has camo on I get no hit registration what so ever. So, I have started using bags on that sever. Toss the bag at the run and gunner, back up, then when they charge you BOOM! They know they were owned! I love it.

I play our MW server, I tolerate it. (the only thing on the MW server that is worth a crap is tubing everyone. Those tubes are awesome)It is just the Cod5 version of Co4. Our server is nothing but spawn killing and bitching. Not as much as Cod4 servers, but close. I only play there when the regulars are not in the DM server. Yep, I am bitching, but about the game not IN GAME. I swear there is nothing worse that bitch, bitch, bitch, bitch the whole time you are playing. As for Activision, they should release a patch that does not require authentication to play their game. Face it, they are not making any more money off of Cod5 as new games are coming out all the time. The best FPS of all time is Solider of Fortune 2 on a highly modded server with custom maps. The most playable game out there. The only reason I left it was that Punkbuster is completely useless on that game and about the only people that are left to play the game are hacks, for real. Ok, I will go find a box of tampons and shut up now.

Yeah, and then when I go to our acemod server the game crashes every freaking time I have to dl a new map. I am like wtf, I thought that was for cod5 only! But NOOOOOOO They need to get their act together soon

Ok, Cod5 is down. I am bummed. I put Cod4 on my computer so I could game some. I don't care for freeze tag and the Acemod server is just not for me. So, I have been slumming it. I have played on all kinds of Cod4 servers in the past few days. Just some observations. 1. All the kiddies do on most of the cod4 servers is BITCH non stop about how others play. 2. They all have rules. No, this, no that and don't do this or that. 3. Just about every last server is nothing but spawn killing and camping. Not that I care about the camping part, but that is about all they do. It gets old after about 10 minutes. 4.Most of the Co4 custom map servers that I used to play on are gone. All in all I have had absolutely miserable gaming the last few days. Cod4 sucks and if Activision does not get their freaking servers up soon I am gonna put a noob tube up their arse!

I am gonna hafta put cod4 on just so I can bunny hop and piss off somebody because I think the cod5 servers are dead forever.
