  7. WarDragon>XI< People you all have to remember that they are mostly kids and they are all on school break right now. We already know we have the best servers not xbox and the other gaming junk. We have the best admins and great members. Our clan is more like a world wide family then any other I have been a part of or seen. Rugger sails a good ship. I have never been a part of a clan that has so many different servers and puts out all the clan stuff you can buy. Plus as a bonus the get togethers. Our clan is a gamers heaven. Screw the rest of the wanta be's We are >XI< !!! The one and only family to be a part of. +1
  8. Here we go again With about 100 people to wish happy birthday too I know, I know, its all the people who didnt input a birthday, they get the default LOL
  9. Good point DJ and PD
  10. That is sweet. Next time I am in Germany I will have to check it out It's only about a 5hr drive from our plant in Monschau (sounds like a weekend trip to be sure)
  11. Come on, we don't stand a chance against a "clan" that basically let's anyone in. They gained 400 "members" in a month. The problem with that is when you let just anyone in, it will be a disaster. Anarchy sets in and chaos will ensue. Look at all the drama we have and we are pretty selective about who we let in (still not sure about how I made it through). I think we continue to vote just to show we don't tuck our tails between our legs and run when someone beats us, even if they are stacking the deck.
  12. Going to stay home and spend the evening with the old lady and tax deduction. It's too far to drive with all the loonies about. Open a bottle of bubbly and do the traditional English and Mexican things for New Year Mexican Light a bunch of different colored candles, one for money, health, romance, etc Sweep the metaphorical dirt out of the door drop a bunch of money on the floor (different countries' money for international travel) run in and out with your suitcase eat 12 green grapes Wear clean, unused underwear for good luck English Get drunk
  13. Well thanks for the help from everybody and especially thank you to Rockape and Sonovabitch who were helping me through PM and were offering to hook up via xfire and walk me through it. Problem is, the time I can play is late at night (Eastern time-US) when they are both, hopefully, asleep so I was determined to figure this out without bothering too many people, even though, as usual, the XI family is always willing to go out of their way and help. Anyway, this is what I figured out It seems, for some reason, Origins was downloading the BF3 files to the wrong location. It kept downloading them to the root directory in a folder called Battlefield3. Unfortunately, the origins downloader was set to C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games. So I think once the game was downloaded it was looking for the files in the wrong place. I tried manually moving the files to the right place but that didnt work because as soon as Origins started up it said I had to download the game again to the wrong location. I researched online using the thread "BF3 files in wrong location" and after about 30-40 pages I found one that mentioned as a by-line "I had some old download cache files from BF2-Bad Company that kept forcing me to load to the root but once I deleted them it worked just fine" so I cleaned out every single file even remotely related to EA and it started downloading to the right location. I checked it this morning and it worked. Thanks for the help and offer of further help. It is really appreciated. See you in game (though not tonight, for obvious reasons) Happy New Year everyone.
  14. I was actually a little disappointed with the last one of the Alien movies with the artificial Ripley I hope this one lives up to the hype. The trailer looks great
  15. Wonder if any of the kids walking around with their pants down know where it came from. Every time I see one now, I can't help but laugh
  16. Thanks guys. I will check into this WildBill - I don't get the BF3 icon so I dont think I am getting that far DJ - I am running this on Windows 7, home premium, 64-bit so I dont think the memory fix will work. I will also double check this though Thanks again
  17. Well thanks for that Bart you Ass - LOL Seriously, nothing I have tried works. I have checked the online forums and it seems I am not the only one having this issue. I am totally frustrated, having paid well over 50 bucks for a game I cannot even play. I even tried setting affinity for the origins program to a single core on my cpu as indicated as a possible solution then setting BF to all 8 with no success. (that seemed to work for some people) Guess I will be giving MW3 a look as I know that works just fine - THIS SUCKS
  18. Ok, I will give it a try - thx
  19. Hey I just bought and downloaded BF3 and back to Karkand on my PC However, no matter what type of game I try to play (multiplayer or campaing - so I can get all my controls set up without pissing too many people off) it goes to the battlelog and the starts initializing game and just sits there - forever I have tried going into the folder direct and starting BF3 that way but it simply jumps me back to Origin Any help would be greatly appreciated
  20. Yeah, it's amazing when you get to see the actual event how the story changes from a "wronged" sportsman to a violent reactor. I am not sure I would have been able to restrain myself in that situation although once the security boys were on the scene, I would have backed away and not proceeded to try to lay one into the 'nads like he did.
  21. Ah, this is so politically correct I assumed it was in the US, but no, it is in Holland WTF http:// photoblog.msnbc.msn.com/_news/ 2011/12/22/ 9630744-dutch-soccer-match-aban doned-after-goalie-retaliates- against-pitch-invader Sorry if this was posted before, but I have been travelling a lot the last few weeks and haven't been keeping up on content like I want to
  22. I am in the process of downloading BF3 and will be playing starting tomorrow-ish My tags are NickTheGrip_XI
  23. I think I will take this advice too. I am getting tired of the COD2 servers always being empty when I am able to play, so I am looking to move on. I already own MW3 but have not played mp yet Sounds like it is time to go out and spend some of my Christmas money on a copy of BF3 and give it a try All I can say is "be gentle"
  24. PingLo NickTheGrip PingLo LtLaszlo Hans PingLo - Out with the Old in with the new! Got rid of my old '06 with 67k on her and picked up a new toy. That is a nice car That's not a car.....that's a JEEP!! Glad to see it was American. Being from the Detroit area I was ready to start verbally abusing you! Hehe. J/K, but still glad to see it's one of the big three. I have a Dodge Charger with 154k on it, so I'll soon be looking. Fortunately have a colleague that can get me an employee discount. Dodge Challenger in my future??!! This is one of the few that is still actually built in Detroit (out of parts from all over of course). They repurposed the old Viper plant and it's churning out these and Durangos, and next year or so the Maserati Kubang SUV which will be built on the same basic platform. I hope you got the 5.7L Hemi in this bad boy. Jefferson North is where the car is assembled. Nicely done Nah, this one is just the 6.4L Hemi. I'm kind of a car guy and specifically kind of an American Car guy: Current: '12 Jeep GC SRT/8, '08 BMW 335xi (Wife's) Older: '06 Jeep GC SRT/8, '06 G35x (Wife's), '03 Audi RS/6, '02 Audi A6 3.0 Quattro (Wife's), '01 300m Special, '99 300m PHP, '95 Neon Sport, '93 IROC R/T, '91 Daytona Shelby, '89 Shadow, '87 Daytona Pacifica, '79 Nova 6.4 Hemi - Sweet.
