  1. I always wondered why I couldn't drive in Florida - it's that damned camber, aint it Artie
  2. Shamu Disappointing to see the lack of response to a topic such as this. Give us chance Sham - not all of us have access to the internet all day - LOL I agree with Deejay's comments whole heartedly While FDR knew the right thing to do was to enter WW2, he simply could not get the American people to buy into a war 4000 miles away in either direction. The age of weapons that could reach around the world were, in most people's eyes, still in the realm of Science Fiction. Little did everyone know in the US that Hitler was on the verge of developing the first ICBM and the world's first Nuclear bomb was right behind it, which would have brought the war home to US soil in dramatic and horrific fashion. Fortunately for the free world, Japan, desperate to conquer the entire Pacific rim made one of the two costliest mistakes of WW2 (the other one being Hitler invading Russia before he completed the conquest of Western Europe.) I think it was Admiral Yamamoto who said it best. "I am afraid we have simply awakened the sleeping Giant" (or words to that effect) How right he was. This surely was the turning point in the war, and the beginning of the end of Japan and Germany To all the servicemen and women and civilians who lost their lives on that day, Thank you and God Bless. If not for you, I would most likely be typing this in German, as would most of the world. (no offense to our German cousins, it is simply historical projection.
  3. I rode the course back in the early '80s on Mad Sunday on my GPZ750R It was the most exhilarating thing I have ever done. Not sure if they do "Mad Sunday" anymore, which is when the road course is closed to traffic like the race, but you could ride the course. It was a little crowded but there were some areas where you could really open it up. It was a quiet mad Sunday as no one died (hence the name)
  4. Blackbart I wouldn't take it to the police but I would do everything I could to locate the owner...If after at least thirty days I hadn't found the owner I would go to the local homeless shelter and donate it... Now that is the answer - brought a metaphorical tear to my eye, Barster. And for once, I am not being facetious (damn As drunk as I am and I still spelled Facetious - LOL)
  5. So, when exactly is the Open House. Please let me know so I can get in this year
  6. I have to agree with Baldie on this one. While finishing first is cool, it's really not what we should be all about. There is so much more to XI than the Top100 clans vote. We all know we are #1 and have been around for years. We will be around long after TKO fades out. Let them finish first this month. Then what???? Ooh, they will have bragging rights, bragging to who, though, themselves. I sure as hell aren't going to lose any sleep over it. XI will always be #1
  7. I second all of the motions above. Now I have to go have a "motion" of my own (all that food I ate!!!) Seriously Happy Thanksgiving to all the idiots
  8. same here - warning, but voted anyway
  9. Feliz Cumpleanos - watch your back Fuzzy
  10. Joyeaux Anniversaire Idiot Espérer que vous avez beaucoup plus joyeux anniversaire
  11. Well I did find this so don't waste any of your valuable 'nading time Joe. Thanks for offering though (XI at it's best, as usual) https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=3160-AGCB-2555
  12. It is a "kick arse" one, but the bastards have some really tight group policies set up. Normally I can circumvent that by simply changing the name of the executable, but with steam it seems not possible Oh well!!!! Can you even get MW3 without Steam, I wonder?
  13. 'Bout time you checked in Dawgster Hope you can get back soon. I need someone else to kill me. I am tired of being back shot by Gomer and camp-killed by Pete And I hope you ain't talking about them Deetroit lions 'cos at least they only lose every other week.!!!! - LOL
  14. OK I finally coppered up and bought MW3 online through steam. Love the single player - haven't had the balls to get my ass kicked on the server yet, but here is the question. I know from an ethical standpoint this might sound "fishy" but it is honest. I have to travel for work (sitting in a crappy hotel room in upstate NY as I type) and the only computer I have is my company laptop and they have so many restrictions on what you can load up. Well I loaded steam and d/l'd MW3 only to find that my group policy denies me from starting steam. Is there any way I can at least play offline or is it 100% online only, or am I stuck with waiting till I get home to get past the damn "goalpost" map Any thoughts - let me know Thanks
  15. PimpedOutPete Lol I know.. Gomer wants this like mad! He has been riding me like Seabiscuit on the issue about being number one now. I laugh it off because Im resigned to the fact that I won't be available soon... As for everyone else? Keep the pressure on him. Twice he has taken big leads when I went on vacation and I was able to catch him... Anything is possible.. Good luck peeps... U to Gom.. Luv ya buddy.. "Gomer riding Pete like Seabiscuit" I am sorry Pete but that brought just sooooooooooo many things to my mind, I am forcibly restraining myself from being a complete Asshole and saying (and you all know how difficult that is for me to keep my mouth shut) - LOL
  16. PimpedOutPete Lol.. Like a mentioned last night.. I'm on the road for the last two weeks on November for work reasons so I won't be available.. It's a long month guys and don't worry.. I won't be number one of my own open.. One of u guys have to step up and compete with Gomer.. Sorry Pete, some of us have lives, or is that wives -ha ha
  17. Welcome you bastard Nice to see yet another SE Michigander Enjoy playing against you in the COD2, maybe I am moving on to MW3 soon as no one seems to play in 2 at my times anymore Glad to see you finally speak up in here - welcome
  18. Tball didnt he just set some kind of record just last week ? He did this week - fastest fall from grace for a sports Icon in this country. I bet the OSU "bad guys" are happy. Penn State has taken the spotlight off them for a while. Much as I hate OSU, it was getting a little ridiculous. Anyway, I hope every single person who was involved, and neglected to do something, either legally or morally gets everything they deserve. I grew up at the hands of an abusive father who thought that it was not a complete day unless he almost put my brother and I in the hospital so in some ways I can understand how those kids must have felt. Of course, I was not sexually abused like them, but the feeling of helplessness and despair knowing your life is in the hands of someone who can make it thoroughly miserable, painful (emotionally and physically) is overwhelming, especially as you know there is nothing you can do about it. It is like the school bully magnified a million times. The fear of an imposing adult when you are only 8-10 years old is something even I cannot find words to describe. I sincerely hope that Mr. "Touched" (wow, what a name for his book - bet he never saw that coming) gets to go from Penn State to State Penn and gets to share a cell with some 300lb hulk who is hung like a horse and has to take it every night for the next 20 years. Then he maybe can start to feel a little of what he imposed upon those poor, defenceless, "at risk" kids - bastard. As for Joe, and the rest of gang, there is already some more dirt coming out and I think it will be a long time before the dust settles on this one. I think there will be a few people going to jail for this. I actually feel sorry for the current players and students. It was nothing to do with them. They were not even at the school when all this is alledged to have happened but you know they will feel the brunt of this with the merciless taunting and vicious sniping that will happen from opposing teams and fans.
  19. CplMOFO Situation is getting a little better...slowly but surely! http://www.xbitlabs.com/news/storage/display/20111107225327_Nidec_Resumes_Production_of_Motors_for_Hard_Drives_in_Thailand.html Hopefully, that will take care of the price gouging situation....HDD prices are at around 160% of what they were before the flood... Hopefully, that takes care of the price gouging - What's to bet it doesn't. You know how this goes, the price goes up because of shortage of supply then never comes down, or doesn't come down any where near enough when they see how much money they can make of us poor saps!!!
  20. Geez It's just a game peeps Some of these people need to get a life and not play video games all night and every night........uh.........wait a minute, that;s most of us - LOL Well at least we are just idiots, not morons like these people.
  21. You cannot be serious about Alcohol. Just remember the following 2 "maxims"
  22. PimpedOutPete hxtr Joe Canadian hxtr yea it's a bad thing to text and drive and I cant convince my daughter of this. fucking kids!!! I dont mind hands free units for conversations or even the voice to text messages. But having to dial, text, facebook, playing with aps and other... they should make it a law. It is just not safe. Hate to infringe on our rights but........... I see it all the time. Have you heard the sayings "the right to swing my fist ends where the other man's nose begins" or "your rights end where mine begin"? I am all for rights and freedoms but if cell phone use is getting people killed... should be banned I agree.......... i wish they were never invented. I am going to send this post to my daughter. I am mad at her now and hope she can will listen. But she is hard headed like her dad.. whoever that is. Well Hx, you try your best and with a little hope u pray they make it home every night... I never thought I would say it, but I wish we would take on European laws when it comes to distracted driving. There are simply too many people who cannot talk and drive at the same time. And texting while driving is simply wrong - even I don't do that and I consider myself a good driver. http://handsfreeinfo.com/european-cell-phone-texting-roundup
