  1. Yeah, lets bring GW back - he did such a stellar fucking job destroying this country. He took the country down the grand slalom. He made Obama's job so easy. All Obama had left was the bunny hill to navigate and before you go spouting off about how bad we are (Poor little us), the UK's external debt to GDP ratio is 494%, Ireland's is at 1258% (ours is right at 100%) The whole world is in a recession and heading for the cliff, not just us. Some countries are heading there a lot faster than we are. Everyone in Europe spouts about Germany but theirs is 210% We are best positioned to fix our problem, but without the rest of the world fixing theirs we are wasting our time as we will no one to sell shit to The only problem is the alternative to BO is just as bad. He ha no clue how to fix anything. He is a total flip-flopper and clueless to how real people live. He wants to drive us right back where with the same failed policies that got us in this mess and opened the door for BO to waltz in to the WH. He might even get BO re-elected with an unemplyment rate above 8% (never happened before)
  2. Well Hx, you have no clue about the media in the UK. It is not like here where it is 90% Liberal (they don't call it "Liberal Arts" for nothing) except for Fox which is so fascist right wing it ignores the truth and simply rabble-rouses. When I lived there the newspapers at least were split down the middle, in fact come to think of it, more were conservative than Liberal or labor - lets see Daily Express - C, Daily Mail - C, Telegraph - C, Daily Mirror - Lab, Sun - Lab (although it was leaning more to the right when I left) No one had a clue about the Guardian BBC - Supports whoever is in power as that's where their money comes from So, unless there has been a paradigm shift I highly doubt its the "liberal" media in Britain. I just think they thought he is a douche-bag. The only question in 2 1/2 months is which DB to elect.
  3. Welcome to the club, you dirty whore. Now all you have to do is catch up the 4000 posters - LOL or the "Mega-whores" who have over 6000 and officially have no life
  4. Well, that's it. I am officially "unemployed" for a couple of days. I start the new job tomorrow (Monday) Walking out of my old job on Friday after 13 years was very weird indeed and currently I am without a cell phone and laptop. I am disconnected and having to spend the weekend like we did before all the electronic "tethers" - It is kind of cool
  5. Actually I had a huge increase in this type of mail for about 1 week and have had only 1/10th of what I normally get today - maybe it is real
  6. Pity Colorado is a lethal injection state as they "don't want the person to suffer" I wish they could export his ass to Utah where they still use a Firing squad!!! As ti the armed citizens - I think the deterrent factor is more important than actually having a gun battle. People like this are basically cowards at heart. How else would you describe someone who shot a 6 year old girl to death (the youngest victim) If they knew there were going to be people in the theater armed i am sure they would look elsewhere for a captive group of unarmed people to shoot at
  7. Pretty much what I was alluding to in my post - well said Sham
  8. Does Colorado have the Death Penalty? - I just checked, they do I hope this person gets the DP - he deserves it
  9. While I agree about the right to carry I am not sure if I agree with what is being said about there being armed people in the theater might have saved lives. Think on this It is dark in the theater The asshole threw a smoke grenade in there There was hundreds of people clamoring to get out I would be more afraid that someone gets their piece out and fires and hits another innocent bystander while trying to do the right thing. How would you feel if you were that person and found out that in your attempt to end this coward;s shooting spree you shot some person's 14 year old kid in the back while he/she was trying to escape I fully support the right to defend yourself. In fact I think morons like this would think again if they thought there were people in there who might be armed. You don't see one of them barging into a Police Station and opening fire - why, because they are cowards I just think a crowded movie theater would be one of the worst places to have a gun battle with a worthless fucker like this Now I do believe someone should walk into his cell, tie his ass up so have can't run away and slowly kill him so he can experience some of the terror he created in those movie-goers. On another note, I see that a Paris Movie theater canceled their showings once the Colorado incident happened. Can someone please explain why a shooting incident 4000 miles away in a country full of guns would cause the movie theater in Paris ( a country where I believe guns are rather hard to come by) to cancel their showings.
  10. Actually SOB, it's the jet stream, not the Gulf stream and I hope your weather gets better. When I was there in May I got a fricken sunburn, instead of my normal "rain tan" I packed jackets and brollys and should have packed sunscreen, shorts and flip-flops - LOL I guess it has rained ever since we left
  11. Thanks guys (and girsl) I will keep you posted It's going to be wierd, not being able to hassle Laszlo all the time at work as well as in-game - LOL
  12. Well I finally did it. After months of searching (both of the soul and the actual job variety) I have found another position. Let me give you a little history. A couple of years ago I was the Engineering Manager, in charge of a group of around 30 Engineers, both Electrical and Mechanical (including one of the best EEs I have ever known - Lt. Laszlo) Suddenly I was replaced by "the guy we really wanted all along but couldn't hire because of the economy" Since then I have moved from position to position, boss to boss, and finally placed in a position that had me traveling around 70% of the time and working crazy hours, averaging around 72-74 per week (averaging, for God's sake). I have been doing this for over a year now. While the extra pay was great, my personal and family life was being destroyed. My health was suffering for all the flying, eating in crappy restaurants, staying in crappy hotels, etc - I am too old for that shit. I have found a position that gets me back on my career path. It is as the Electrical Engineering Manager for a company that works mostly with the food and drug markets. The travel will be non-existent, they only work around 40-45 hours per week (they are a French-owned company after all) and, best of all, they matched my base salary at my current position and added a 10% personal performance bonus along with 4 weeks of vacation to start, instead of 2. I It was really a no-brainer. I texted my boss of the week this morning asking him where he will be first thing Monday morning and he called me within a minute asking when I was leaving. I think he fell out of his chair when I told him 2 weeks. (I think he was being cynical as so many people have left our department in recent weeks) My last day at my current employer (assuming they don't do something stupid and walk me out) will be July 27 I am as nervous as a high schooler on his first date. I haven't changed jobs in almost 14 years. Here goes the start of the next chapter in the life of "The Grip"
  13. That.............is.................frickin...................awesome girl I am seriously impressed - well done I will go to YT and put a "like" on there right away, along with some choice comments.
  14. That's strange - my ex wife was called Debby. She showed up, there was a lot of wind and moisture and when she left I had no house, no car, no furniture Stay safe peeps. I was just in Japan for Typhoon Guchol and, fuck, did it rain a lot, but they are so used to it there, no one even batted an eyelid and the ground is made for easy run off
  15. That must be one big belt - LOL Happy birthday Bart - let there be many more to come
  16. You have a crystal ball? I hope your proctologist wore sunglasses! He has crystal balls so he can see what's coming
  17. Just dont leave your wallet in the drying. Dont think ironing your money is a good idea either. Does it fold well... crease. humm... i like my cotton monopoly money. I'm not sure what it is about us and having state of the art money.. Been like that for years. You and Mexico (and Australia, from what I hear) - they have this type of money now too

  19. Joyeaux anniversaire Olive Meilleirs voeux
  20. Well thank you Boys and Girls. It is much appreciated Damn, When do I get a real cake like that - LOL
  21. Yeah, but it's pretty good shit Interesting fact - only about 50% of the water draining down the Niagara River goes over the Falls. They divert the rest for power production. In fact, they can divert most of it if they want to, which they have done in the past.
