I was one of the players back then .Probably not in the original but was in there with Boom, Hogan, Maz and Johnny alot. Pretty sure that was one of the first awards I got, from DOS himself...but that was 2010-11 range, never did get that badge back...

make sure the software is fully installed, make sure it is running. Try unplugging the mouse and re-plug it. Just a thought....
