  1. DEEJAYKEG UnChileno Got it..not having much fun yet..Controls are hard to ..Y wont it stay when u press it..have to hold it down..hate that.. Take Woody for a ride sometime - he reminds me of my wife and her comments when we are "making progress" at a suitable speed through country lanes! I'll even take you for a helicopter ride now I can fly it the right way up and crash land it without killing all occupants! These new games have taught me that I really do need a new graphics card so I have a 1GB Radeon HD 6870 coming on Tuesday. I hope that makes MW3 playable and BF3 more stable for me. Well DJ, That card is a good choice and a good value (price/performance wize) if you're into ATI cards.... What's the rest of your system specs, and your monitor size/resolution again?
  2. UnChileno Got it..not having much fun yet..Controls are hard to ..Y wont it stay when u press it..have to hold it down..hate that.. Chile, are you talking about ADS? (Aim down the sight?) there is an option under the GAMEPLAY menu, about either toggle ADS or ADS when right mouse button depressed....
  3. Hi, This is from BF3 BLOG: http://bf3blog.com/2011/11/hundreds-of-battlefield-3-players-banned-over-cheating/ Obviously, BF3 is not immune to cheating, but at least there is work being done to try to prevent parts of it... Cheers.... MOFO
  4. Shamu I appreciate all the feed back and the end result is that I am staying with what I have. I took MW3 back to the store, unopened, yesterday. My gaming fix is okay with what I already have and did not want to get involved with anything Steam related. So I will stay with my NVIDIA 285 & 295 as long as I stay with current games installed. I get about 200 FPS with WAW each and possibly more but have my max FPS set at 200 in the Config. Good enough for me, anything over 60 FPS is enough in my understanding anyway. Your cards are still decent cards...unless you wanna go crazy about resolution or eye-candy, it's not a bad idea to keep them... Wait and see what the new gen will bring to the table!
  5. I was on the parade square, celebrating the Remembrance day parade...
  6. rayray064 i think it should be 64 conquest, thats just me, but honestly i dont care what yall do, i play on it all the time anyway XD LOVE bf3 Ray, We got Conquest 64 softcore...on server 1.... As for what people want, we're all for suggestions, but we're going with the majority...if your particular request is not fulfilled, doesn't mean we dont listen, it means we're pleasing 90% of the people...
  7. 2cuteSue ok, i just played on a server that was a DeathMatch game.. It was played with 4 squads of 4 competing against each other.. Was ranked server too as I got points for it.. It was cool as hell!!! Is that something that can be put in the rotation for maps? Last time the clan ran a Battlefield Squad deathmatch, nobody was playing, the server died, and the clan dropped the game support. for the signatures tho, there it is... http://www.enjin.com/bf3-signature-generator you go thru all the settings, then there is a link that appears at the bottom...keep the URL , only the stuff from HTTP:// to the png. part...and add as a picture in the sig portion of the webpage...
  8. PrimalFear well my k/d with this card is now down to below .5/1 from a consistant 1/1 since the game came out, all it is doing is ruining my stats, I'm gonna try a few more things and if they don't work I'm putting my 8800gts back in my machine so far this card sucksYou don't need to run the game at ULTRA....all on HIGH, maybe textures at ULTRA...2 or 4X AA and 8X AF... Look and see for yourself, how faster and better a 560Ti is compared to a 8800GTS (G92) 512mb http://www.hwcompare.com/8975/geforce-8800-gts-g92-vs-geforce-gtx-560-ti/
  9. Yes Deejay, we had a good time. you'll see, when you hop in the TS3 channel, it's even better....crap we could play all daY!
  10. Server is up and running, since 10 o'clock this morning THANKS RUGGER! It's a 32 slots HARDCORE Conquest (LARGE) and RUSH!
  11. D333333ZNutz confirmed 64 slot servers can use hardcore as well, i was playing on one today that was decent just shotty admins that were very spuratic with there kicks from server, and they werent inforcing the no tk rule at all Well, Hardcore has always been available in 64 slots mode....
  12. Hans greywolf2 Sonovabich 16 or 24 is not enough, our members will not be able to play, we can't drop it below 32 players, maybe when the excitement of a new game drops off we might not get as much traffic in the future but at the moment not less then 32 please. Why all you have to do is kick non members if a member wants in. I do not like large servers--- 16 or 24 would be great. 32 is gettong to many peps for me..... I am just posting what i would like to see thats all!!!!!!!!!!!!! If players continue to be kicked, they will stay away. It will not promote the popularity of the server. I like to see why the 64 player server because there is almost always a place and you do not have to kick. Besides I've seen servers with private slots so you can get the kick overcome. Do this as you please. I have often cut with the hatchet in the past That "reserved slot" option is already being looked into. DICE has a few issues implementing it, but it's definitely an option.
  13. snaFU73 I have not been able to enter the server. It keeps saying "the server is changing maps and try back in 10 sec". I got that issue several times yesterday...there was people on the server, not a map change...so i guess it's a bug...
  14. kungpowme WE should get a squad TDM server its about 16 people and its really fun Squad deathmatch is the game style that was ran on the XI BFBC2 server...and it DIED... I'd say a 48 slots Softcore Conquest (all quick match settings) and a 32 slots Hardcore mixed (TDM, RUSH and conquest) My two cents....
  15. Scumz, I seen that one from COMPUSA (I think you got one close to home AFAIK) XFX 650 watts for $59.99 AFTER MAIL-IN rebate.... http://www.compusa.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=125450&CatId=1483 This is a good one...manufactured by Seasonic and rebranded XFX... But Compusa has some serious crap for sale also...gotta be careful sometimes...
  16. Situation is getting a little better...slowly but surely! http://www.xbitlabs.com/news/storage/display/20111107225327_Nidec_Resumes_Production_of_Motors_for_Hard_Drives_in_Thailand.html Hopefully, that will take care of the price gouging situation....HDD prices are at around 160% of what they were before the flood...
  17. Dark Asylumn your hard drive is gonna be a major bottle neck. it only has a 16 mb buffer. tbh if you could wait a few weeks the prices should start coming back down on the hard drives before the floods for 99 you could get a wd 64mbs sata 6.0 gb/s black edition 1 tb. here is a 2 tb wd green 64 mb/s drive for less than 40 more honestly this drive will perform alot better than that 16mb drive. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136514 if 135 is too much for you here is a wd green 32 mb/s 500gb drive for 109 that will be alot better than the 16mb your looking at http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136358 Well Dark, I'm saying your mostly right, this is a $$$ issue at the moment, all the good HDD's prices are thru the roof.. I remind the price of the WD Black 1TB 64mo to be around $79 a few months back! Some HDD manufacturers will soon start to resume production, and hopefully this will cause the prices to drop back to when they were... As for the WD GREEN....they're not bad drives, but they're mostly storage drives, because they're made to save on electricity, they park the "reading head" really often, it's like they go to sleep a lot more often than regular drives...that's why I'm not too fond on those to be used as Operating System drive...
  18. PrimalFear This was a good find Mofo thank you, very cool But you never got your question answered, the part of the line http://sigs.enjin.com/sig-bf3/xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.png is the url that you post in the picture section, take out all the rest of that stuff and it works great. Send me a chat message or TS if you have any issues. Thanks Primal, I managed to get it to work yesterday, with Phantom's help. But you are right, you're the only one that answered my question! I'm sure people will look at this and now be able to actually do it! Thanks man!
  19. I'd personally go with a 650watts XFX, as the price is pretty close to the 550 watts...just to be on the safe side....
  20. UnChileno Sonovabich No Chile i don't think they can do that m8 JUST HAD AN XI MEMBER TELL ME IT IS POSSIBLE AS HE HAS DONE THIS BEFORE..PLEASE SAY U R WRONG.. Well, you can spend money on STEAM to buy maps/games and send them to a friend....so that a way to gift it to somebody...WORKS FOR ONE PERSON ONLY... so IMHO, if it answers your question, you can buy maps and send them to a buddy that can't afford them...this is how it looks in picture down below...
  21. SkunK|NL Today it was even hard to find 4 players so where is everyone Even if you get is started, NOBODY will join automatically...only the people you'll get in touch with (xfire. TS3, clan members), people that have us in their favorites already and people that will find us using the server browser... it will take weeks and weeks to get the server to fill with people...you guys will have to stay in and populate the server..... To make it simple....lowering the amount of players needed to start makes the server INVISIBLE to quick match players....
  22. In the US and Canada, the game sells for $60...so it's still a 20$ drop!
  23. tHE gLOVe - Large monitor for gaming and everything else computer related Hello all I am considering the purchase one large monitor to replace my two 24" monitors on my desktop. I run a hybrid computer that I built and it boots in MacOS Lion and Windows 7. The monitor that I was looking at yesterday was a Samsung 40" LED. I would like to know if anyone here has any experience using larger monitors with a computer and what their thoughts are. Any advice would be helpful. Keep in mind that I will be sitting approximately 2' to 3' from the monitor. Thanks There is two types of LARGE screens used for computing: -The big screen TVs of various kinds (LED-backlit, CCFL-lit, and plasma) running at 720P and 1080P resolutions -The larger COMPUTER MONITORS of more than 24" in size, with different resolutions...1080P or ABOVE... Graphics-wize, a single 40" LCD TV at 1080P, for example, requires the SAME videocard effort as a 24" 1080P monitor would....because it's the same amount of pixels but the pixels are gonna be bigger...that's all..so distance is paramount, or you'll see blurr a little... The large computer monitors, such as a 27" or a 30" running resolution better than 1080P (2560 X 1440 or 2560 X 1600) require MORE POWER, because there is actually more pixel being displayed...so you'll need more graphics card power (with larger video RAM count) to push that higher rez...or you'll have to drop on the details....BUT, it's where it's at if you're looking at max-eye candy...those monitors are expensive and cost $600+ the DELL ultrasharp-series are the best in that regard.... So the morale of the story is: RESOLUTION is what's matter, not SIZE... big-screen TV = quick fix but same resolution and affordable Big computer monitor (resolution ABOVE 1080P)= $$$ + sometimes a graphics card upgrade needed $$$, but MAX visual glory/quality...
