I need to get back in there - and COD2 - miss you guys & gals. But Bama, I'm told when an admin is in with tags on, they don't spawn camp; when he or she leaves, it starts up again. You need to go in undercover using one of your aliases, either Adminindisguise or ImnotBamaADMyouassholes.

That's a bald-faced lie. Budman does NOT use any more hacks that those that all of the admin get for being admin.

I would suggest all COD4 admin set up an alias and as the complaints peak - as they do every few months or so - you all go in game undercover to ban spawn campers as part of a planned "spawn camper raid." Get together in TS or in a COD4 Admin forum here at the web site (you don't have one, but you should have one) and plan it out. You might pick a weekend or any period of several days, where you assign "shifts" so that over this raid period, there is always an admin in game undercover. As you find spawn campers, you ban them - XI member or guest - and let them come in here and explain themselves. Word will get around that the admin are doing this occasionally and that in itself will help cut down on the practice, because they'll never know when a "raid" is occurring. ??

Not much to add Dean except that spawn campers will be booted and banned when an admin catches them at it. We don't do that based on someone's accusation because it may not have been intentional. But if they are persistent spawn campers, in time we'll get them. No reflection on you because you don't do this, but what irks me most in game are the whiners who are constantly complaining about spawn kills. I make it a practice to look for the light bulb so I can blow your head off when it goes out. But I don't spawn camp. Nor do I expect someone who turns a corner and finds me spawning, to wait patiently until I move or turn and fire. When I come across someone spawning. I start shooting - such is the game. Had a player bitch the other day about getting killed when he spawned; I told him "then don't spawn there you idiot."

An investigation of the assault is underway by police. There needs to be another investigation: of the school's immediate response in suspending a student who assaulted another for only two days. If I was the father of that this kid in a coma, I already would have attorneys lined up to begin lawsuits, not for monetary gain but for punishment. I would sue the parents of the kid responsible because in most instances of bullying, parents are to be held responsible; and I would sue the district for keeping the bully at school if it was known he was a bully. Last thing, I would seriously consider engaging an individual to find the kid who put my son in a coma, to beat the living shit out of him - an eye for an eye. That's extreme, but it comes from my childhood when my brother and I were bullied by an older kid who lived down the block and made life absolutely miserable for us for three years. I can tell you in all honesty that had I access to a gun at that time, I would have shot that kid with absolutely no hesitation. Years later after I had grown up, I went looking for the four people who bullied me most as a kid and over time, I found them all and got my revenge - except for the one kid above who bullied me the most. He got down on his knees crying when I finally ran across him in a bar and dragged his sorry ass outside, and I found him too pathetic to bother with. When I finally got the last of them, I felt vindicated; it was a weight removed that I had carried for a long time.

I may stand corrected but camping always has been allowed on any of our servers with one exception: spawn camping. My style is run and gun for a bit, then camp for a bit in a good spot until it gets old or the kills dry up, then back to running for a bit. Everyone has their own style. There are players who absolutely hate Dean's talent for running and knifing, and players who hate campers. I get a kick out of hunting down campers which isn't difficult because you know where they are - it's an easy kill. We always have had and always will have these debates over style of play but bottom line: to each their own. Live with it.
