You're too funny SOB. God, that brings back so many memories of Vietnam. We'd be out on patrol from an LZ and from out of nowhere, a shot, and one of our guys would turn into a block of ice. We always had a flamethrower ready to thaw them but it was a horrifying experience nonetheless and often, you'd lose toes or fingers from frostbite. Seriously, we started the freezetag servers because Rugger lives next door to a juvenile giggling factory (insane asylum) and adopted several to mop his floors and do his dishes. To keep them entertained, he'd let them play freeze tag. Most of the folks you find on our freeze tag servers suffer various mental incapacities. COD4's Ace Mod is nearly as fucked - like we ran around the jungle at 30 miles per hour. That leaves COD5MW: it's our best server, it's the best game, it's the "real" experience, and it's where you'll find the "best" Idiots - of sound mind, if not body.

Did the same thing many years ago running Apache on Red Hat Linux with a fixed IP - been so long can't remember the games I hosted. Had a lot of fun back then; I had one box that would triple boot to Linux, Win95, and XP (I was a Microsoft beta tester for XP) - Most ISPs frown on you running your own Internet server due to bandwidth they typically consume. Make sure your provider is OK with this to avoid problems down the road. I know some providers prohibit servers. - You don't want a wireless connection to a game server - if you've an older network you're only getting 10Mps. You need to run Cat5 right to the box. - The ability to run multiple games is essentially a product of the hardware - and the game. If you've a recent CPU and a couple gigs of RAM you should be able to run several games at the same time if not more, again, depending on the game. You may have trouble serving up multiple versions of more recent games despite that although most of the work in done on clients, they still demand a lot from the system. You'll have to experiment. (It's fun connecting to your own game server from another box - zoom zoom, though an unfair advantage.)

As others have advised, you need to wipe the drive - restore may not get it. And as well, if she's ever used this system for anything involving her credit card or other accounts, take steps there as well to protect her. Bummer for sure. About five years ago, I bought something online and the site got hacked. More than $5,000 was charged to my credit card. I was protected, but the next day, the credit card company called and asked if I was talking to them on another line - the dirtbag actually called them to complain about "his" credit card being discontinued.
