  1. There is a new Scam going around. IP based phone lines with spoofed numbers that may show up as a local area code to you, A recorded voice, usually female, Start into into a sales pitch and stop and ask "Can You Hear Me?" If you say yes they got you. They already have your name address and phone#, possibly more personal info. What they do is charge things to you based on your verbal "Yes" authorization that they record. They even go so far as to send the debt to collections, all based off of that verbal yes. Unfortunately most states in the US lack any laws that make this illegal. Let's be careful out there
  2. I had a R.A.T TE that I liked a lot but the thumb button springs wore out way too fast. If you like what you have and it lasted why not just get another, unless you don't want to drop $91 on a mouse, I can Identify. Most newer mice seem to be designed for children or people with very slim tiny hands and they make my hand cramp. I have been using an ASUS ROG GX950 for a little under 2 years. I love it, best mouse I've had since the original Logitech MX518 It's wider than most Logitechs, has weights and programmable adjustable dpi up to 8200. It has mouse software you can use to set dpi levels but do not need the mouse software to run or be installed once it is programmed. I have used it on Win7 and Win10 with no issues. I absolutely recommend this mouse. https://www.amazon.com/Republic-Gamers-GX950-Laser-Mouse/dp/B0084FVWO6 https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIACS056U2696&cm_re=GX950-_-26-785-069-_-Product
  3. I have an iPhone I use for work...over come hatred for Apple??? Buwhahahahaha everytime I have to use that thing it just throws down another layer of hatred cement!! iPhones are for hating . Queenie, I would suggest getting something cheapish from amazon or ebay and holding out for the Note 8! I am on my 4th year with my optimus g pro and hoping it doens't take shit before the 8 comes out.
  4. I have had one of these laying around collecting dust http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/wireless-products/dual-band-wireless-ac-7260-bluetooth.html it came out of a lenovo laptop board 876 Mbs wifi with Bluetooth 4.0 built in. I recently ordered one of these https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16815256026 to run it in a pcie slot to free up a USB 3.0 port. I'll let you how it works, the adapter shows up tomorrow. Typically usb wireless adapters work fairly well I use TP-link or Tenda and never have problems with them. If yours seems to drop connection it's probably either gone bad or the drivers don't like your version of windows, one thing you can try is a usb port extender to move it away from the motherboard socket or buy one that uses an extension cable. The TP link n150 high gain is an excellent unit for under $15 US have used it for years on windows 7,8 & 10 It's my utility adapter I use for new builds getting updates/drivers installed https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?item=N82E16833704045 For the range you have this Tenda adapter would work just as well for under $8 US. I have had one of these in a daily use computer for over 2 years now and never had a problem with it Windows 7 or 10 https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA6J32WD5191&cm_re=tenda-_-9SIA6J32WD5191-_-Product I purchased both at my local Micro Center http://www.microcenter.com/
  5. They just gave you a new modem/gateway, issue happening on 2 different machines, new wire to the pole... I'll jump on the bandwagon and say it's either the router or something downstream from your access point at the pole.
  6. 2 quick questions Nobody asked, I didn't see it if they did, but are you running a wifi connection on your PC's or hardwired ethernet? I see that ram is 2 different voltages, I had the exact same motherboard its ram voltage controller isn't the strongest and it is picky about some ram not on it's QVL. You may have hurt it by trying to run two different voltages. Have you tried running just one 8gb stick? it should still play games good enough to see if the issue arises. Also see if the ganged/unganged mode is set to ganged... if it is ganged then try running all 4 sticks in unganged or run them ganged if it was set to unganged? It will either work or it won't. The 2 different voltage ratings on the ram is a real concern though. It's one thing if you are just facebooking and shopping on amazon but hardware stressing games on mismatched ram has never been a good thing. The fact that both say patriot means absolutely nothing.
  7. And now for something completely different.....
  8. Also try using VLC media player if you aren't already. Windows 10 movies and tv media player only supports limited file types and won't play sound in a lot of video. http://www.videolan.org/vlc/index.html If VLC doesn't play it, it's probably a corrupt file.
  9. Get the 6gb absolutely and enjoy turning the settings up, 3gb depending on the games you play could be a hindering factor. Large maps/worlds will use that memory with settings turned up
  10. I had Uverse it's reliable but they have a data cap as well. the cap is relative to the tier of service you have
  11. If we weren't forced to buy a (IMO) terrible game to get it I would pay for the Updated Cod 4. But I don't want Infinite Warfare. They lose out on a lot of money they could have made. all they had to do was make it stand alone and run on existing cod 4 servers with the dx9 players. It could have been a blockbuster re-release.
