With an Intel CPU, newer models, it just needs to be turned on in the Bios. This machine is ASROCK/ Ryzen 5 and apparently I just need to turn it on in the BIOS also

If you're basing that on sheer numbers they are already bigger than we are and have been for a while now. A good thing we have a lot of Allies, we're going to need them if/when China decides to Police Taiwan. I've been on Windows 11 since the end of december, had some issues with my motherboared over the weekend and I'm on my backup machine running Windows 10 because I hevent goten a TPM for it yet, I like 11 better for sure.

I had server texture errors with cod4x on 2 maps and I quit using it. I might go back for these reasons 1) Cod4x does not crash on map changes 2) you can alt/tab and minimize to see desktop AND do it without crashing 3) it runs much smoother 4) it does not crash 5) Did I mention it doesn't crash? Seriously Running windows 10 and 11 on stock CoD MW it crashes every map. If it doesn't crash on the map load it crashes about 10 seconds after joining. If I need to win key or alt tab off of the game more than twice on any map, it crashes. It's hard to stay motivated playing the game because it just crashed 10 seconds after getting back into the server after it just crashed switching maps. 6) I tried compatibility mode, every setting Winxp thru win7, it's all the same. I have no crashing issues with any other games, software or OS. 7) I'll take not being able to play 2 maps (so far) over game crashing. * I bought a new Video card yesterday (3080 and retiring the 1080) I am going to wait and see if anything changes. I doubt it but it could just be current drivers not meshing with a 15 yr old game. CoD 4 always did crash a lot with cust maps/mods but what I'm getting is redic.

Logitech PRO X WIRELESS I have had my Pro X for over 15 months now, battery still lasts over 20 hours. The Mic is fantastic, the headset is lighter, more comfortable and much better sounding than my last headset G935( when new they had very noisy plastic creaking at any head movements and the earpads went flat eventually with cracks starting at the headband transition) and better than my Sennheiser headset did (ear pads split and cracked, ear cup mount broke and mic boom switch bad). Most headsets don't last me longer than 15 months. The most common problem is physical breakage at an ear cup mount or headband to ear cup mount transition. in the last 12 years I have purchased at least 15 headsets. I have my headset on a minimum of 4-5 hours or more daily If I break the PRO X or when they wear out I'll probably get another one. Currently they run about $120 US or less with free shipping. RGB on a headset is pointless, I automatically avoid any headset that has it anymore they are all shiny junk. Brands to avoid for headsets Razar, Roccat(love their Mice), Turtle beach and Logitech G9xx headsets, They sound good but are fragile AF & no longetvity. My significant other hates my current Pro X headset because I cannot hear her talking +++!

I've been gaming on 144hz for almost 10 years, Currently I have dual 27" 2k 170hz ASUS Displays. I run both at 120hz on the desktop, anything less just doesn't look right to me. CoD4 I run at 155hz and whatever else supports setting refresh rates.

New copy of windows. I originally installed from steam and didn't have the 1.7 version to drop in place of the steam 1.8 .exe and replaced it with cod4x, which I replaced with 1.7 .exe after I re-acquired it and deleted the cod4x. Since there could be something still lurking from that I'm going to uninstall it and reinstall from steam.

Deleted the map again and mod this time.

Did that didn't help

I get this error when the map loads. I deleted the map folder and re-downloaded it. No change. Any ideas?

It is where Companies like ATT have a monopoly on the fiber service in your area and they gouge you for it. It really isn't worth the $155 US or more monthly bill for the (s)lowest tier When Cable speeds shit all over it for $60 a month less. It's like paying a premium for Fiber just so you can say you have it.

I recently upgraded my internet I have Spectrum Cable. I don't have Cable TV service I stream everything, they also offer Cell service piggybacking off of Verizon for a fantastic price of $45 unlimited Calls, Text and Data. I was paying $75 for internet and $75 for shitty ATT cell service. Now I pay $94 for much much better internet and $45 for much much better Cell service from a very much less shitty company. 400+Mbps down and 20+Mbps upload. I can stream content to discord in full 1080HD 60fps now where before at 8-9Mbps upload 720p wouldn't even sync with the audio. Downloading games....fugheddaboutit it's done already! Saving $10 in the process ...winning!

If you're running Windows 10, 11 will work just fine, you just need to edit the Registry to say it has a TPM module. You can install Windows 11 without a TPM and editing the registry, it will just watermark nag your desktop in the corner...oh noes the humanity. Also you won't get some security updates...but if you're still rocking WinXP(ffs why?), Win7, Win8.1 and soon Win10 you're not getting those updates either. If you aren't running GPT & UEFI you are on 2000's Tech and you are going on being 2 decades behind in computer hardware requirements. Any hard drive can be set to GPT and booted with UEFI. Many CPU's have a built in TPM module, it just needs to be enabled in the BIOS.
