  1. D'awwww...here's a picture of one of our pups and one of the kittens, both about 1.5 years old in this shot. Still best buds. Go ahead, just try and have a negative thought after seeing this!
  2. Google "teledildonics".
  3. So, you prefer dictatorships? You look up to North Korea, Saudi Arabia, China, Iran, etc as models to be emulated? You could have used better examples, say, democracies with refugee policies that you agree with. Or was that research too hard? Says a lot for your coterie of trumped Harper-like head-nodders.
  4. Glad to hear you're on the mend.
  5. Congratulations to you and your family, Pete! Nothing else matters as much as family, and raising the next generation.
  6. I have no problem with your play style @@Elvis9. Fuck the fucking fuckers, say "fuckity fuckity fuck fuck fuck!", click your heels three times, and don't bother defrosting the whiners!
  7. Nice to see you back, Shamu! You're always a gentleman and a great guy to play online with. Looking forward to playing many rounds of WAW with you!
  8. Here's a shot I took yesterday. I saw reports of a snowy owl spotted not too far from my home. I drove to the general area and within a few minutes, there it was sitting on top of a utility pole, completely unconcerned with my presence. It had been reported that it has a bad or missing left eye, and that report was correct, but there was no discharge and it was certainly healthy. Looks like it's an old injury and it's been thriving. The camera is a Canon 70d, and the lens is a Sigma 150-600mm from their "Contemporary" line. The uncompressed image is finely detailed.
  9. Theme song for the ad campaign?
  10. "Build it and they will come". That's got some buzz to it...
  11. There is no such thing as "chemtrails". Period. Codpiece provided good information. Instead of running down the conspiracy theory path, a path paved with bullshit, pseudo-science, and anti-science, people should educate themselves with...science. Science is merely a rigourous methodology applied to various facets of the natural world in order to properly understand it. Do some research on meteorology, atmospheric science, and what is a contrail? There are enough jaw-dropping wonders in nature without adding fantasy and paranoid conspiracies into the mix. And, yeah, the climate (weather patterns over time) is changing. Every month and every year over the past several years have been setting temperature records. This affects wind patterns, the jet streams (atmospheric rivers of air), atmospheric moisture, storm intensity, drought conditions in one part of the country and flooding rainfall in another. and so on.
  12. I agree. I have a number of photography books and the ones with images from film have a certain personality to them, for want of a better term. Digital can be almost clinical in it's reproduction. You can get filters for Lightroom, DXO, Photoshop etc. that mimic the looks of specific film types, but what's the point? I got into photography fairly recently and later in life, but I'd like to get a good film camera someday and really learn to work it and get to know how to capture the best shots with various films.
  13. Love Leica gear! And Kodak and another brand have announced that they're bringing back film to market. It's seeing a resurgence.
  14. A phone booth near my office. I'm working on a series of a dozen images.
  15. As in all things, the answer is "it depends". Start here: http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/training-events/training-certifications/overview.html and I'd suggest asking at your school or even with local IT and large companies what track or skills are most in demand and forecast to be in demand over the coming years. Network security will always be hot, but so will most other areas too. Routing and switching is the bedrock of networking and is a marketable track.
  16. It's never too late to make a change. Good for you! Networking is where it's at. People with networking skills and certifications are in demand. Cisco's certifications are recognized everywhere; My $.02: start with a CCNA then pick your stream from the various branches from there. Good luck!
