even if cod4 isnt supported by PB installer anymore you will still need PunkbusterA and PunkbusterB installed and running on the PC to play on PB servers, which means you will still need to download PB regardless. You can download from Evenbalence.com then create a folder named "PB" In your Cod4 Directory. Add the files from this download to the folder "PB" - -That's MY Mediafire so no worries. But you can also get the same files here if you don't mind creating an account. After you have added the files to your "PB" Folder in your COD4 Directory, and Installed PB and ran an installation check and all is ok, then restart your PC, and game should work fine.

I Had a bad NIC On a Laptop I purchased from Microcenter a While back. I found that If I switched the connection to a "Metered Connection" I Was able to maintain a steady Online gaming connection. However, When I shut down the device, and turned it back on, it would be shit again. UNLESS, I switched from "Metered Connection" to " Unmetered Connection" before shutting the PC Down. And of course, turning it back on when the PC started. In order to test, please left click your internet icon on taskbar > Right click the connection you are on> " Go To Settings">Advanced Options> Metered Connection. Hopefully this may give you at least a temporary fix.

Are you playing through steam? If So, you will probably have one of the same issues I had. After a fresh Install of Win10. I did this: Run Steam> Install Cod4> Install PB> Run PB check> Restart Pc>Replace PB Folders> Run Cod4 Single Player> Switch to Multiplayer> Join Server> No errors yet. But My game will tend to error out if I don't run Single player first, then switch to MP. You also may want to consider these options: Running as Admin, Running in Compatibility, or Validating files in Steam.

Are you playing CoD4 through steam? If so, you will need to launch through steam 1 time, make sure to complete the full PB installation/ make sure to error check, and if it comes out clean, exit then download files below http://www.pbbans.com/forums/files/call-of-duty-4-windows-download94.html -You will need an account if you don't already have one to see the files- replace files in your directory then restart PC and make sure to launch through steam If you are not launching through steam, then you will need to go to evenbalance.com download the PB installer, install, run check, then replace or add files to directory /pb/ (You may need to create this folder since PB no longer supports cod4) then restart PC and launch. Hopefully that is understandable and helps you with your situation.

@@dadda2 I can't seem to get the downloader to recognize my game install, and no server's are showing in the list. ( I would assume due to fault of error 1), just wondering if you had any tips for a first time user of the XI Downloader?
