Thanks everyone and you guys are right I have been a absolute nervous wreck considering she was put under and that is major. I was thinking what would I do without her and to be honest I am not sure I could make it without my wife. She means so much to me on so many levels, she is so important to me that I respect her request that I don't talk during my gaming because it is not good for my heart even though it would please me to no end to tell some people just exactly what I am thinking about them and their constant chatter. I want to Thank You All for your positive energy and concerns during my families very trying time. I don't worry about me when I go I go but she is a blessing to this Planet and deserves a long full enjoyable life.

My Wife developed atrial fibrillation this past summer and has been trying several ways to get her life back to normal. Lifestyle and diet changes and medications galore but she is still struggling from the serious fatigue that can come from this. Very early this morning I took her to the Hospital for her Ablation procedure. I can't stay with her during this since it is a out-patient procedure they will do today. She will be put under and have a "minor" invasive procedure while she is out on her Heart to laser the area that is short circuiting and kill those cells. This allows the Heart to rewire itself and get back to normal rhythm/beating and normal blood flow. But I am hoping for some XI love towards her because anytime they put you under it is Major and she is my much better half and my ride or die partner in crime. Thanks in advance for everyone's good vibrations for her quick recovery.

Can someone explain to me just how the Detroit Lions managed to lose a game they were in complete control of for most of the game and looked like the better team on the field today? I understand taking risks when the numbers suggest it is the right move but Dan Campbell had been saying all week it was a race to 30 points, so how could he pass up 2 chances to settle for field goal attempts especially when they were inside the red zone instead of going for it on 4th down. Those 2 field goals could have been the difference in the final score and most likely a win and a trip to Vegas for the Super Bowl. The more points a team has to more the team that is down by 17 points maybe more has to make to come back to try to win like having to try for a touchdown instead of kicking a field goal that provided the winning points. Now I understand the phrase "SAME OLD LIONS"

I have only heard of this happening in Iraq. For unknown reasons they would suddenly drop their AK-47's in the sand. American Soldiers would pick them up and were selling them as never fired only dropped once and like brand new with full clip for cheap after they came home. Maybe you are having the same issue FEAR OF DYING

Doesn't your Local News Broadcast have a cast on the Web? Most of the big City Stations down here in the States replay their News braodcasts online as well as have a person updating anything that just happened before they can go on air for whatever reason like not wanting to interrupt a Soap Opera or Game Show?

@loaderXI does setting them at zero let your PC run it the fastest it can within allowable limits?

Someone correct me if I am wrong but if you set your Max_FPS to 0 it will run as fast as possible on your device without limits. Putting in a number other than Zero sets a limit. Am I correct @loaderXI?

I remember a long time ago him telling me it came from a old "Star Wars" Game. That is how he knew "Highfighter" who was running the old server I played on until the Clan died from a Power Struggle. Highfighter ran his server a lot like XI was set up and the guy running the websites for both Clans EGC AN >XI< was the same person Swiss. That's how myself and 2 other EGC Admins found the XI and got to know the guys at the Shop they all worked at. @Ruggerxi kept the name and for the first several years only posted pictures of his back. He took great joy in not showing the ladies his smiling face. That's the way I remember it. I had to play 2 of his co-workers C-Bags and Kilroy 1v1 DM games for 15 minutes each with spectators to be able to play on the XI private 10 man server that was password protected for them to play at work. Beat one and tied the second. Our COD2 DM Server was packed with 24 players every day and guys XI was going nuts with kick to make room requests for non-members and spectators. Oh what fun times those were. My wife would respond to my X-fire messages if I was not home so players knew to find another Admin or person with contacts and cell numbers. It was crazy to see what he has made from those humble beginnings.

Also remember this is from experience, when servers get busy with new players there are a lot of good players that play on other servers or other games and might be coming back to the game you play. Not every new player who beats everyone is a Hacker and they may a server that makes playing ours easier for their skill set. I have found that since my cell phone is right by my PC when I play I can quickly grab it and video what I am seeing as a player competing against a hacker then go to Spectate and keep the recording going as you watch the hacker. When someone is getting loads of kills and few deaths look at the number of "Head Shots" or quickly picking up a target when they enter the screen. When looking for a "Wall Hack" the trick here is a little more complex. If a player is picking up targets before they can be seen out a door or window that is a tell. Also if they seem to scan walls and buildings even more than they do open areas that is a quick tell. However this is why I prefer to use my Cell Phone, I can talk during the recording so the Admins hear what I am trying to point out as it is being seen. Plus a Hacker usually picks the games most popular weapons not the ones everyone else uses because of the game type and server settings. A hacker will most the worst weapons unbeatable. As mentioned before PERKS pay a huge role in many games we play. It is very hard to find scripts running in the background like "Spanky always dropping a nade when he died" like in the old days on COD2 but recording it happening to you over and over can be the proof needed. It is much easier to not let the hacker know you suspect them and get the evidence before you tip your hand and most hackers are people and if they get called out or someone says "Fuckin Hacker" they are the first to respond 95% of the time. Just like banned players who come back with a new name they always say hi to their friends if they have any. Please keep in mind almost all "New Players" to our servers are just like you were long ago and just hope to find a Fun Server they Enjoy and feel Welcome and calling out Cheaters makes us look like kids instead of "The Worlds Largest PC Gaming Clan". Not every Admin is a Pro at catching Hacks but everyone tries and the best way for those with loads of experience catching the Bad Guys can tell from a good video and well worth the time you spend helping the Clan take out the trash. This is how I became a Admin by seeing things that looked "ODD" and watching how it might be happening and getting the PROOF. Have fun and good gaming.

@cdsinuk is it normal to find something that old so close to the surface? It looks like you didn't have to dig really deep once you got a hit on your detector. I just ask because here in North America non-precious metal items that are maybe 500 to 600 years old have been found as well as some 2000 year old Roman Coins. There have been people using Iron and harder metals where you live for thousands of years as well as living on most of the land like where it appears you found it. I am just thinking something that old would have had more dirt deposited on it over time. Obviously erosion and other factors can keep things from going deeper under the soil or is it common for your finds to be at that sort of depth? I have heard the new coils are much better then the old ones we saw as kids being used by old men on the beach looking for lost jewelry. Pretty cool find and shame you can't choose to with respect have it treated as you you wish. I am sure you reported your find, because it is not like a cop was watching you to see if you found any thing good. Finding parts of History where one lives is a cool way to spend time and help the picture of days past be more complete. I just hope if it is of some monetary value that you get your fair share. I know that is not why you do it but it is always nice to have some extra cash. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Dude, You should stop by the COD2 TDM Server on the weekend mornings. Things usually start about 6am your time and go until 1pm. It is half TDM or CTF maps with the old COD2 weapons and settings you remember from the old days and half are Team Sniper Maps. I bet you will remember at least 75% of the people that show up every Saturday and Sunday plus Holidays. Thanks for sharing. I trout fish as well but use spinning tackle since it is what I learned on when I was a kid with my Dad. Great way to spend a day is fishing and I was told long ago that God doesn't count days fishing on our life calendar, it is his gift to those who want to live longer happy lives.

I am not a COD5 admin but we always are glad to have members like yourself who are willing to help keep the servers running smoothly. Back before I was "Asked" to be a Admin for our COD2 servers and then asked to become the Head COD2 Admin I was very involved in making sure we had no hackers in game, no map issues or server lockups etc. This was done by being able to contact all the Admins who lived in my time zones and while might not be in game might be near their PC and could jump in to take care of whatever the issue was. Some Admins like to sometimes play under a different name for a few reasons. 1 is to maybe catch video of a suspected hacker, 2 might be just to play without others hitting them with idle BS and 3 is to have a known name to XI members but not known to drop in cheaters so when "JimBob" came in a game with a player using a wall hack for example most people knew that the issue was being taken care of and to not tip our hand to the CHEATER. I would recommend if you really want to become a Admin to be a good steward of the server you play, play all the COD5 servers from time to time so all the players know you and your reputation, if you see something video it as quickly as you can and report it to a Admin that trusts you and knows you aren't just drying wolf. Most people who are Admins here have said they were shocked or surprised they were asked to consider taking on the responsibility of becoming a Admin. This also includes being very active here on the Website and letting your XI Family members know you better. One of the most frustrating aspect about some Admins and Members is they play a lot, are able to post on the website but they rarely say anything unless it is to complain. We all have things in life that may take us away from XI but when you tell your gaming Family about it (Details not needed) communication is a big factor. Remember we have been around over 16 years and things always change and a persons Reputation is one of the most important requirements to becoming a Admin. It is just like becoming a Member of >XI< people are asked by us to join not the reverse however it is always great to know someone cares enough to offer to help. Now is your chance to help. Good luck and wish I could play COD5 but it gives me motion sickness so I am stuck playing COD2 and can be found every weekend Mid morning during our 4 to 5 hours of TDM gaming sessions. Feel free to dust off your old copy of COD2 and join us any weekend for TDM and week nights for DM games. Older game so we aren't packed 24/7 like when we started but you and everyone are always encouraged to play the game that started it all.

Yes he was and I am honored to have had him as a BIG BROTHER. He guided me thru some of the roughest patches in my life as well as celebrated to extreme highs I have been blessed with. He gave this Family far more than he ever received I am sure. He would probably disagree with that but I know for sure it was a pleasure to everyone who ever interacted with him to know he really cared about us.

People say COD2 is a "Old Game" this kid just did something no one has done in a almost 40 year old game. Great Games Live Forever

I still have not been able to completely come to grips with the loss of one of my best friends ever. He was a friend to me from almost the first time we played COD2 together and became like a Big Brother very quickly. His Laugh could make even the most tense moment disappear or let someone know they were full of shit. He was a loyal man who was proud of his love for his family, his Country, his service in Vietnam in spite of the homecoming he and others were forced to endure and he was especially proud of what XI had become "A Family". He was here in the early days when a headstrong group tried to split up this clan and he would say, don't worry buddy we will still be here long after those who are spreading lies and attempting to take over are long gone and he was right. When COD4 came out and Rugger asked me to consider becoming head Admin for the COD2 servers my only request was that Bart share the position with me because he was always the calm one even if he know he was going to give someone the boot. He had a way of telling someone to go fuck off and they would say thank you while I was the opposite. Every single time my temper would flare up he would always say the same thing "Don't let them get to you Pman, we will be here long after they are forgotten" regardless of it being a hacker in game, o banned player sneaking back, or some attention monger on our website. His response was always "We will be here longer after they are gone". The past few days I swear on my Childrens lives I have heard him in my ear whispering those exact same words to me several times. He is still here and always will be long after those who don't belong to XI are long gone. God Bless you my best friend Roger Bartlett and I know you have my 6 every single day I am left here taking a breath because you are my Guardian Angel.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Holiday weekend with those they love and no one got hurt during a family fight after too much drinking or talking too much about Politics or Religion. We had a very nice dinner I made or Glazed spiral Ham, Roasted Yukon Gold Potatoes covered with a Ranch dressing mixture, Green Beans Almondine, Sage Stuffing, and Hawaiian sweet rolls and a homemade Pumpkin Pie with cool whip just like my wife loves it. Lots of work considering I have been suffering with a cold since Thursday but with Lorie going in to the Hospital on Thursday morning 12/28/22 for a Cardiac Ablation procedure to help her recover from the Atrial Fibrillation and Arrhythmia she has been dealing with for about 6 months. So my best gift this year will be her getting through this and feeling like her old self and be able to walk up a flight of stairs and not be completely out of breath. I pray everyone else is on good health and if so share how much you love them all by telling them. Sometimes just knowing you are loved and cared for can make a world of difference to someone's prognosis. Peace to all and smoke a bowl for me
