  1. No, because if you update PB itself first it wont allow you to update the pb for CoD4 or any other non supported game. I'll try again in a bit but due to a shitty windows update failure I have to reinstall windows again
  2. I was trying to install Punkbuster for CoD4 and I know punkbuster wont update CoD4 now and I've used the legacy punkbuster we have on the site before with no problem but now it wont update the game, this is what it's saying. I've already tried using CC cleaner to clean everything up and try again.
  3. I got everything set up and working, I'm around 45ish give or take Idle right now, which isn't horrible now I have to figure out why my ram can't handle being at 1600 Mhz and clocked it's self down to 1066. I think I just need to get 16gb of 1866Mhz and get a cooler for it too
  4. It was just software compatibility issues because I went from an Asus Mobo am3 socket to a Fatality 970 am3+ socket Mobo, I reinstalled windows and everythings fine =)
  5. That's good but your CPU doesn't push 220W probably around 85 that's why I'm trying to get some opinions because I have no clue if it will keep good enough temps
  6. I need some opinions on this before I get it, I've always used Fan cooling, and haven't went to liquid cooling before to be honest, I've always overclocked my CPU without needing to go to liquid even with the FX 8350 I had it only pulled 125W, but the 9370 pulls 220W. I was getting around 60C idle with a stock fan which is awful, If I played BF4 it would kill my new CPU This is the water cooling unit I was looking at http://www.microcenter.com/product/404943/x What do you guys think? Or this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835181032
  7. Well I just said fuck it and used my old sata to usb to get my cod4 shit off and that's all I was really wanting anyway and re-installed windows because I usually do when I buy a brand new part like Mobo, HDD, Graphics card or CPU, I just wanted to put it off, but I can't keep my computer on long right now because I'm running a stock heatsink right now because the heatsink I purchased for it doesn't fit the case so tomorrow I'm buying a new case returning the heatsink and getting a water cooled, I don't want my CPU over 55 C but it will be hard to accomplish that with an FX 9370 8-Core 4.4Ghz 220W, if I have any money to spare I think I will get 16gb 1600 or 1866 Mhz ddr3 ram to top it off
  8. So are you saying server changes or how many times you broke the server and the cost to fix it lol
  9. Ok, so first off this really annoys me because I know a lot about computers but I know I'm not the smartest person in the world and I need help lol. So My computer worked fine for a long time, but I needed to get a new motherboard to upgrade my processor which was an am3+ socket type and my motherboard only accepted am3 socket types, So I got the motherboard, hooked everything up right, and put my new processor but after that it will boot up fine, and recognize the changes and load windows but right before it hits the password screen my computer will blue screen for a fraction of a second and reboot over and over and over, I don't know what is causing this, I was thinking it was a software issue since I change the motherboard but it shouldnt cause a blue screen or stop me from logging in. To counter this problem I bought a new copy of windows 7 and start from scratch again but before I do that I want to get some second opinions on what to do. I also need to get a new case because the current one is to small to fit the heat sink I purchased for the CPU which will have a huge amount of heat since it's pulling give or take 220W. Any Suggestions or questions? And as always thanks for the help, unless it's Duck, any advise from duck will make my computer explode
  10. Bobbarker Uses a laptop to play and drink in bed =) @@bobbarker
  11. FUCK THAT! I love snakes but Centipedes freak me the hell out lol. and millipedes
  12. Don't crossfire different cards, They literally have to be the exact same models to get any benefit, it's just like having ram with different speeds, 1600, 1866, 2100, 2300 If you have 1 with 2300 and you have another with 1600, the ram is going to set to the lowest spec, which is 1600. If you crossfire those cards you're going to be bottle necking your graphics cards, so it's either going to be the same or even worse. Like having a 5.0Ghz processor and 1 Gb of ram, you're not going to see any benefit from CPU with that kind of bottle neck.
  13. I have a small one 240Gb, only plus side is it's Sata 7200 RPM, used to have an SSD but not anymore lol
  14. Hm, I don't think it's just spyware, you could just have a virus, what I would do is defragment your computer after that get the CCleaner off the XI website and use it to clean your registry, after that reset everything in the browers you use, and then try using one of the anti-virus you have, personally I don't use an anti-virus program because I can navigate without getting it. But I like System Mechanic the most out of anything, Avg is shit, norton is a joke, Free MC security is just the same as norton, you basically don't get very good protection if any from free anti-virus programs and they usually suck the life out of your CPU and Ram when they're active on your PC which is ridiculous. Un-install any unnecessary programs such as boatware that came pre-installed on the computer and just clutters shit up. Like HP and Dell love to do. If this doesn't work tell us and we'll see what goes down. I can also try doing team viewer with you and install system mechanic on your computer, run everything and then put the anti virus on yours run it see what turns up and keep using it since I don't, it's also already paid for.
  15. What do you mean google chrome doesn't work?
  16. This is why we can't have nice things. Just don't ask to lay the cables down when they start putting it down. Good luck and we'll see ya around the site
  17. Lol, I don't even know what to say to that, when I was in highschool and was in Tech assistant, we had to replace parts and such and fix the school computers and we would always use a bit of the school money to upgrade out school work computers to play games, like 4 gb of ram 512 mb graphics and dual core processors, was a lot of fun being in the tech class, not many were allowed to be in the program of high school. Side note, I also despise Intel Pentium processors, Fuck those
  18. Sounds like it could be a software issue, I had an older laptop that had a 2Gb ddr5 with a quad processor and it had issues running CoD4 and did the same thing you describe just more often, and I couldn't find the issue with it. I know everything was set right but idk, I hate nvidia, I will go with AMD any day for for graphics, they've never let me down.
  19. I would hope everyone these days would at least have 1gb ddr5 or more, as it's less than 60$ to get one and less than 160$ to get a 4gb ddr5, I know my computer isn't high end compared to what I used to have because of my money situation but I still manage a decent build well enough to run bf4. If anyone out there is running a 256 or a 512 MB ddr 2 they are still living in 2004
  20. Um on PC? lol. I don't have enough money to upgrade my shit computer and get the game lol, I have it for ps3 though
  21. Damn wtf is going on lol, I wish it would work fine, is there anyone we can talk to to see if there is anything to do? And I want to say thanks Rugger for keeping up with all the things going wrong with the server so far
  22. Could be a problem with the version plus the server and a problem with the maps, so it could be all three making the problem occur
  23. V1.2 , we had an older version and it was even more unstable than the current one, I don't think it's the version we have, it could be a compatibility issue but I don't know all the facts to make a correct assumption.
