Playing on the PVE Server Shock right now, I know it's pve but it's great for starters helps you learn how to do everything without worrying about others, then when ur good move to pvp and you know how to take care of yourself

Try going into your control panel >Hardware and Sound> click on sound and see if your headsets mic is being used under Recording

I know all that, I'm saying It wont install right when I manually do it like I do for cod4 and it doesn't update automatically with steam

I've checked, It's v1.0, Can't join any servers and can't update it, I've tried everything to get it to work, I've just exhausted all I know

I know I need it, It wont download through steam and I can't manually patch it because it was bought through steam, no matter if I manually direct the download or not

Ok, so I bought CoD5 WaW on steam forever ago and put off playing for a long time. Now I'm trying to play and it fucks up everytime, first off I try to play Single player to get the game down a bit but steam wont let me play it for some reason, looked into it but gave up because I'm lazy as hell. Next I start multi up, get everything up and running but then it's still v1.0 so I try downloading the patches and install them, patches are installed correctly but doesn't work when I enter the game. Last off I look up the problem with steam and they say it's supposed to be installed with the latest patch or install after the first time opened and neither has happened. Where should I go from here?

And also Punkbuster does work, It may not be supported still but it's still required, without an update on punkbuster you would only be on the server for less than a minute before it kicks you for out of date.
