Just my humble opinion (again) I appreciate the fact that the admins work diligently to improve our gaming experience here at XI. I also feel that the overall gaming experience on the XI servers is a very positive one. Having said that I must toss my opinion in regarding the new map rotation. There are some definite improvements and even some very nice "new" maps that I have never seen before. Personally I find sniper maps a complete bore and shotguns only, to me, are almost unplayable. Yesterday there were 2 or 3 shot gun maps in a row. I'm also not a huge user of nades but I believe they should always be available. I think all maps should be "all weapons". If people like the shot guns then they can choose a shot gun. The players who use nades as their primary weapon source should have that option. When it comes to shot gun only maps I tend to just bash until I get tired or bored. After that I just go into spectate and wait the map out. I also feel the need to stress the fact that I can usually only play on weekends, so my opinions on this matter are most likely not shared by or valid to most members.

I'm not sure who we are talking about here. There is a guy who shall remain nameless for now that plays on the COD2 DM server on a regular basis. He bitches, moans, complains and accuses members of hacking. I have remained silent on this issue for a long time now but yesterday I just couldn't take it anymore. For the most part I can only play on weekends. When I play I do so to have a good time, laugh and enjoy thecomradery. I don't want to deal with players (non-members) accusing myself and others of hacking. I really laid into this person in question yesterday and I have also notified an Admin regarding the situation. IMO this person should be banned but I will respect whatever decision is made by the powers that be. After I verbally dressed this nudnik down, I bashed him a couple times which he truly did not like. ;-) Here's to a BS free game!

Here's a prime example: I was in a game today on the TDM Server and in less than two minutes someone was already up in the Gun Ship. Yesterday I spent some time on two of the COD World at War Servers. I have to say that even though I don't find that game as fun (mainly because it's far slower than COD2's setup) there was no ridiculous Gun Ship to have to deal with. I love XI COD2 DM and most of the players but I am having a difficult time tolerating this Gun Ship mod.

Most of the maps are decent these days with the exceptions being the two sniper maps and shotgun only map. Spawning with no weapon is kind of dicey because players can hang in the spawn and kill you the very second that you are visible. I prefer the medium to small maps because of my run n' gun nature. Sniper maps belong on the TDM Server IMHO. The map with the sniper rifle only option is kind of a waste also.

Here's an idea: Remove the Gun Ship on the DM Server and leave it on the TDM Server. Personally, the only time I log onto the TDM Server is when no one is playing the DM Server. The Gun Ship takes half the fun out of playing COD2 for me.
