  1. Many thanks! I installed a string hacker plugin years ago - I highly recommend it
  2. Very kind of you to share all this Weed. You're lucky man to have such parents and I'll be sending prayers to you all. You're right, while this is a special community of gamers, and we enjoy good times with each other online, the connections with our families and their needs are of primary importance. That's a real nice pic - be well amigo! D
  3. Greetings My Friends, I'm experiencing sensations of sadness, gratitude, joy, and adjustment - that an old friend has left on a journey and I won't see them anymore with these eyes. I don't usually share much story, so this is kind of out of character for me.....sorry if it's long winded. I spent my early years as a guitarist cultivating my chops, giving myself to the wood and steel - then one day I heard Edward not long after Van Halen II was released. My life was different from then forward. I devoured every track of every album and found obscure recordings, bootleg and legit, I studied VH recording methodologies, guitar tone, etc. Many guitarists have influenced me - but Edward, was so unlike anyone else before and since - nobody will every fill those shoes. He changed it all - the way the instrument is played, the way it is amplified, the way guitars are made – everything. I had Eddie "wallpaper" in my room as a teenager, I went to his concerts (if I left my room long enough to put down the guitar), and after a lifetime of music, in 2014 I relearned a massive catalog of his work as a seasoned player with discipline and commitment, rediscovered his musical genius – not that I ever doubted it (it's a lot to learn and absorb). I enjoyed playing some great concerts with a VH Tribute band even though I don't usually go for that kind of thing. I did it so I could really learn and perform his work well, and go back to school so to speak. I worked my ass off for two months learning a shit-ton of material and holy shit, that man wrote some truly remarkable music. To this day, every few months I have an EVH night to myself in my studio and just listen - sometimes whilst driving or when I want to get back to basics of sound, feel, and musical authenticity. I find isolated guitar tracks of Edward on YouTube most exhilarating and sacred, and listen in a state of wonder and gratitude for this person who brought so much to the world. I knew he was fighting disease, and just a few days ago was listening to his music and wondered how he was doing....well now we know, and I'm glad his suffering has ended...he fought long and fought hard, many kinds of battles. So here's my small, private tribute to share with my friends – from a 2015 concert opening up for Warrant. For The Maestro, Edward Lodewijk Van Halen – Thank You Forever Peace y'all......the D is feelin' real heavy. Thank you for being my friends - you folks are the best! ?

  9. Thanks Sixgun!! I totally agree and I appreciate your level head. Just some helpful, reliable information for all my friends here in the clan. NO FEAR, NO PANIC – just awareness and concern. Be SMART, Be WELL!! If you want to skip my rant, just watch this Dr. from the UK - he's quite reliable. I've been following this very closely from the beginning as I have trusted sources, one of whom has professional expertise in training citizens in other countries less fortunate how to protect themselves from things like this. As such, his US military background with Infectious Diseases is solid. He, as do I, have a network of folks all over the globe that we've been communicating with since mid-January and based on the scientific data thus far, we must realize this is NOT the flu. Is is far more virulent and one person can easily and unknowingly infect many others, while not have any symptoms prior to being aware they have it. While the elderly and infirm are at much greater risk, our hospital bed ratio is embarrassingly low in the US.. If this virus is not slowed down, our medical systems will be overrun and it will be a very hard situation, much like Italy. I spoke with an Italian friend today and it's very dicey over there....healthcare workers are tired, and many are infected but are required to continue working - no longer a contained situation. Hard decisions of who gets treated and who does not are starting to happen because they're starting to become overwhelmed with patients. Regardless of the country, any estimates of those infected or deaths are very low. The actual numbers are 10 to 20 times higher because of unrecognized community spread. Stay well by practicing excellent hygiene, dramatically limit going out in public and maintain a good distance from others if possible, and always follow the advice of your healthcare providers if you become infected. We all need to remain vigilant with these good practices to PROTECT THE VULNERABLE. No, we're not all going to die - that's ridiculous. We do however NEED TO SLOW THIS DOWN SO OUR HEALTHCARE SYSTEM CAN TAKE CARE OF THOSE ALREADY IN NEED OF UNRELATED MEDICAL ISSUES AS WELL AS NEW PATIENTS RESULTING FROM THIS VIRUS. Many will get this damned virus (similar experience to the flu) and feel pretty bad - about 5 days of mild viral illness (cough, fever, myalgia, achey muscles, fatigue). The vast majority of people of who contract this will get better, not super fast - but will get better. About 12% of those who get this will become severely ill, and about 5% of those who get this will become critically ill. Some who recover will have lung damage. This is being reported in China - their ahead of us on the virus' timeline. Remember, just because someone can handle this virus and not get very sick, doesn't mean they're not going to fuck up their neighbors, friends, or family whose immune systems are not as strong. Don't be the person that goes around their city as if nothing is really serious is happening. We're about four to six weeks behind the situation in Italy. If my sources, both private and public are wrong and this is a big nothing burger, I'll gladly receive any shit people wanna sling at me for a "Chicken Little" event. Now go wash your fucking hands people LOL!! Good Sources of accurate information: Dr. John Campbell, Dr. in the UK: Some stats from: Sir Patrick John Thompson Vallance FRS FMedSci FRCP, Chief Scientific Adviser to the Government of the United Kingdom Alanna Shaikh: A global health consultant and executive coach who specializes in individual, organizational and systemic resilience. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University and a master’s degree in public health from Boston University.
