Lag / CI problems lately

I am not sure if it is just me but, ever since this has been the version we decided to play I have had these constant minor CI's and usually one good one that hangs me up for a solid minute. I wonder am I the only one with this issue and if not is there a fix for it. I would like to think it is not my system as it is completely new as of this April and more than capable of handling this old game. Any thoughts or help with this matter would be greatly appreciated. As for the MOD I enjoy playing it as it is just a form of entertainment to me and I do not take it to seriously. -

I bought a new PC and had to buy the game again. I purchased it through steam, is there a way to place my old player profile in to this file. or is that not an option since it is through steam?

Just curious, what type of smokers does every have? Personally I have a Traeger Pro22, works well for my family and holiday dinners.
