I'm having difficulty loading up multiplayer today. Single player loads fine, and multiplayer loaded up fine during the week as I tested in advance. Today Multiplayer just sits there with a black screen. I've left it for 1/4 hr in case it takes a while but still does not load MP. Anyone got any ideas? I've tried running in safe mode with no success

It's gone down really well. Thanks again to @Cheyenne for making such a diverse rotation. Maybe we could find a few more maps that are Shotty/pistol/knife compatible. Like Killhouse or the paintwar map -

Rugger myself and Sitting spent quite a while sourcing a replacement and implementing it a few years ago . Only for Game tracker to come back on line shortly after. So I would say that this time we shall wait untill after the holiday season is over to see if it comes back online before acting on it

It says server unavailable on the error screen. This has happened before and I'm sure it will be resolved in the next few days

My user map folder is 8.4gb. If you hit tilde and type /reconnect then you can normally resolve the slow download issue that way

As said above, installing COD4X fixes most issues with COD4. You need to extract the file to your COD4 folder and then run the install from there. If you have any issues then I could run through it one evening (I'm uk based)

Is C full? try cleaning out old downloads and maybe consider using an additional drive moving forward

There was 1 spec there, when our server reaches 33 it redirects the player with the least amount of play hours to our other server. The spec was a head admin and can not be kicked to allow room Please try again when the server is less busy. We are at 21 at present so feel free to rejoin

Welcome back. The easiest way to connect to our cod4 servers is to install COD4x to you COD4 folder. This thread might help you

If you update the steam version and then connect as @PickleRick describes, that should work. You will need to turn off "keep this game updated" in steam

this patch should update you to version 1.7 I would also recomend COD4X which enhances the game https://cod4x.ovh/t/cod4x-releases/24 Download the client and copy/paste it to where you have the game installed (within the COD4 folder ) and then extract it
