  1. I guess that suggests Hillary has a sense of humor about the inability for Bill to keep his pants zipped.
  2. I guess thats just one of the more strange things we see. Instead of trying to impeach Bill, the republicans should have been patting him on the back and saying 'well done'.
  3. I dunno Donald looks like a bit of a pervert while doing that.
  4. I call shenanigans!

Running a boot rescue disk that is currently scanning. Going to take a long time obviously. In the end, I think the only thing that is important to her is the email. So if the infection is taken care of and I can get those out it will be enough. Then in the future start deleting existing email accounts and getting some new ones. Over the years she has gone to too many places and signed up for too many things and is bombarded with spam and who knows what else.

Got a call Friday from my neighbor across the street. I usually handle her computer problems. Usually email issues. She is a senior citizen, online alot, and gets lots of email. So tough to encourage her to use the usual safety practices like never opening attachments or going to strange websites. Looks like she might have been hit with one of those ransomwares. This one pops up and demands money. She actually called them. She is smart enough not to give money or anything like that. Threatened the police. But of course that goes nowhere. Told her to keep it off until I could look at it today. I downloaded a bitdefender boot disk to see if that will at least make the computer useable again and get rid of the infection itself. I hope. I do suspect there may be some encrypted files gone forever. Unless there are ways I can get them back. Anyone with experience in that?
  7. You also get fatter as you grow older. Men anyways. Especially if you like beer.
  8. What what whaaaaaat?
  9. I may have to reinstall bf2 one of these days. Personally I preferred a quick single game vs bots as a distraction for awhile. Bots dont cheat. Much.
  10. Also only the usual consumer-oriented servers. Meaning a server cant be put on a clans server box. The idea was to provide some limited functionality for basic customization but without offering server files to the general public.
  11. And? This is important how? Perhaps you should post us your high school pic so we can make fun of you.
  12. They didnt say 'privately run' dedicated servers.
  13. Ah the good ol days of Vent.
  14. Unless you did a full format. In which case, in all likelyhood, everything was wiped.
  15. Some people are absolutely %100 sick to death of cod4, remastered or not.
  16. Not interested. Will use the money for some other game thats different from the franchise. Still waiting for the DayZ standalone. The only zombie game I am actually interested in.
  17. I was watching some vids on youtube about gaming and the different ways developers try to deal with keeping people from rage quitting. One of the options, as often seen in BF, is that you spawn farther away from the action and have to get back. Usually by vehicle if you can get it. The idea is so players can cool down. The commentator mentioned that there could be a safe-zone of sorts, which a few games do, where players can go and chill for a few without actually leaving the game. He mentioned something called Crush Crush. Never heard of it. Looked it up and it is a Steam game. I checked it out, and then said..... are you fucking kidding me??? http://store.steampowered.com/app/459820/
  18. Hope he has home owners insurance. Not that it would cover this anyways.
  19. Steal it back.
  20. Bolt rifles? In cod4?
  21. Anyways. Long term it is no longer about tweaking gameplay. "Fixing" things. Offering a 'pro' option, which is another way of saying basic. Better graphics or sound. New weapons, gadgets or other goodies. New abilities. Not even simply new maps or new gametypes that run on them. What can MW4 do thats actually new and different? BF is trying WWI. Weeee. Same game just 'back to basics' in the same setup. More or less. I hate made up phrases like paradigm shift. Developers say their latest game is 'revolutionary'. But what is needed is a revolution. There, my highly opinionated post of the day and I didnt even mention anyone with a name that has a capital 'T' in it. edit. Cross cod with planetside 2 with some more npc/rpg/squad elements and, since it has the franchise name, there is money to be made.
  22. A 3-minute round on small maps with sniper rifles only sounds like an m40/acog quick scope match. A hate quick scopers.
  23. dadda, the file on the server and redirect do not match. edit: That was the mw2 server sry will check the other.
  24. People seem to forget that, at the time, cod4 on the PC had its fair share of obnoxious players. But it was easier to deal with them with admin privileges. Map packs also cost money now... more than for sheer profit... because these days they are much more complex to produce if you want them to look good. All the various internal tools needed are much more complicated. Some of them are proprietary belonging to other companies that want money. So it makes no business sense to give them away for free. So while the packs may be overpriced, or maybe not, they are no longer going to be free. That can be a good thing tho. Now that they cost money we can expect and demand more out of them. If the maps suck we dont just say 'hey its free'. We complain, loudly. The in-game transaction idea with real world money, with the money going to the developer, is total profit however. So far they are only cosmetic in this franchise. You cant buy anything that actually increases your power. As it is now I dont see a change in that, with money for improved weapons, without backlash and affecting the player base. Personally, Im bored with military FPS's. I think the FPS as we know it is a dying genre. Not without a major change that focuses on an actual global community in the style of WoW. Or an RPG. A single world filled with NPC's and dedicated squads (8 players max) not random teams. Attack and kill NPC's to get XP and items. Or... focus instead on going after other squads, killing them all, and stealing their items. Then sell them in-game for new equipment. As used items of course. Then again, if you lose, they steal yours. It promotes full squads among friends to avoid 8 on 1 battles. Unless, if you work alone, you are very very careful. Certainly that is monthly fees. But if the game is big enough, and addictive enough, it could be more than enough to run all the infrastructure and make a tidy profit. Especially since such a game could last years. Not months. Oh and provide ways that players can do something to get the monthly fee waived. This is not for the casual 'hop on hop off' player.
