Most of those 170 are just ideas where they threw a little seed money at. See which ones generate interest and which ones do not. Most dont. Also often to keep the rights to them so they are officially listed as 'pre-planning' or something like that if that is one of the contractual requirements. The Fantastic Four was one of them so Marvel didnt get it back. Then there is Star Wars and the up front four billion it cost them. They actually took a big chance on that considering the prequels. Luckily the first one was actually really good albeit an obvious remake of the first. But it could have been a bomb. Fortunately they have a huge amount of money to dip into from multiple sources but they are still multi-billion dollar gambles. Most studios dont have that kind of money. Studios also throw huge amounts of money at technology development. Some eventually works. A lot does not or turns out to be way too expensive to actually use.

Hey I get complained about often. Sometimes a bit rudely. And for something in which I put huge effort and time into. Not just showing up and playing a game when I feel like it. This is true *IF* they do provide what people have been asking for, over years, then I have zero problem spending the extra $50 bucks for the DLC. Which I imagine will be required because of the stock assets maps would require to keep down the custom made stuff. You have to think about. If you had to pay for every mod played in cod4 XI... how much it would have cost people over the years. At least a couple hundred bucks. Acemod, G13, mw2ftag, rotu. Star Wars. And so on. Then the map packs. $50 is cheap.

Never say never. Depends on what kind of tools and restrictions. Mapping looks really good and much easier to do than cod4/5 apparently. After the learning curve. The mods will make or break it. If so it means you will not buy something else. Which is likely their goal. Get more people to buy bo3, and more dlc, than the money going to their competitors. If this is a true cod5 replacement (since its Treyarch) then every cod4/5 modder/mapper will say byebye and what you have now is it.

Yup wont work. At least if you are tying yourself to that audience. FPS games... single-player not withstanding... are all interactive action not stories or character development. SP is mostly one and done in a couple weeks. Then its all MP. I suppose you could go with a "Walking Dead" approach where the series is all story and characters with zombie killfests now and then. In this case you have to play down substantially that its tied to the game and EA so it will stand on its own two feet with zero interaction. People have to think they arent watching a video game adaptation. Even down to no EA commercials. Casual viewers probably dont know WD is based on a graphic novel... or comic to some. Different form of entertainment but in this case dunno if that is possible.

All decent TVs should have overscan adjustment menus. Also be sure the card is at native TV resolution. Which I assume is likely 1080p for signals coming from a computer.

Quite a lot media. Unless you are basically doing bluray rips for everything. Or are starting to think of 4K rips whenever they figure out how to crack that one. That or you are into production.

Looking at various lists bf4 is way down there in general. Many cod servers here are specialized modded gametypes that most others dont have. Dunno if there is one but Counter Strike is still very popular. Maybe have one of those for awhile.

Probably most modern TV's do have RGB settings instead of the usual television or bluray settings.

Same here as independent. Worst election I have seen. One the one hand, a politician in the worst possible way. The other, a total disaster waiting to happen.
