  1. Friendlies cant steal them. Not unless you unlock them first. Been this way for a long time. Besides, how is the idea of a FF kill going to make up for the fact that you just lost your mininuke package because it exploded? I included many ways to deal with cars. Use them. Only natural. Most people say 'who me?' when it comes to actually writing a complaint with your name on it.
  2. I dont know what some people have against the mw2 server to attack it. I mean whats their beef?
  3. Got the 6600 instead of the K because I am not going to overclock. It also has less wattage which is a bonus considering how much the computer is on and electricity in CA isnt exactly cheap.
  4. No Klingons? I thought they were supposed to be the villains in this one. Lets hope they dont make it a pure action movie without much substance. I wonder if they are going to blow up this Enterprise. That alone will make die hard Trekkies cheer.
  5. Are these maps still in the current rotation?
  6. Score is not taken into account because it is unfair. It is total time played on the server. It is also more reliable otherwise on map rotation everyone starts with a score of 0. Whether you were there for three hours or for five minutes.
  7. There were people that wanted to jump really high and fly around with jet packs. The result: Advanced Warfare.
  8. Oh man. But even back then, the city actually allowed a warrant over a video tape that likely cost 20 bucks?
  9. They werent direct hits or unobstructed. If a tube was really close it will always kill in hardcore. Note that tubes do not have the same damage range as frags. Also, flak jackets do not decrease their protection like body armor. The trade off being that flak jackets are never %100 protection. So truth be told there is some very good tube protection available for those that want it.
  10. Many times the majority is wrong. Assuming its a democracy in the first place.
  11. Daffy is just telling it like it is. Of course one of the major problems is that the maps are too small when the server is full. Making explosives have that much more influence. People want faster paced with increased speed and constant action. And on this server not very open. That means the maps also have to be small to lessen travel time. So any discussion about nades being over powered... even tho they are the original strength... must include the environment in which they are used. Same argument about 'sniper maps'. Many of which can hardly be called sniper maps in the traditional sense. Just bigger and relatively open. Occasional threads about the same topic are fine. They reinforce the discussions on why things are the way they are. Good or bad. So long as people keep from turning personal about it.
  12. I will just say again that flak jackets reduces all explosive damage to %35 of whatever it was. This is in addition to whatever damage reduction there was due to game geometry and such. So -%65. A nade right next to you is going to kill you in a hardcore game. But it doesnt have to be very far away to be reduced to damage only. So choices are available. Even tho I know everyone loves getting something for nothing.
  13. Seriously? Then I would have to increase tubes in order to be fair. Also more claymores or betties. Increase the 3X grenade perk (2 perk explosives) to 4X or 5X.
  14. Full server and small maps should never go together. Yea remove the ability to act like Mexican jumping beans on a hot skillet and people go bonkers.
  15. Flak Jacket maybe? Works quite well against all explosives.
  16. Well I hate everything about it. Equal opportunity hater. So there.
  17. If it were you, she would have used the golf club on your head.
  18. I need to do all the security updates and fixes but like before, even on a totally fresh install, wu is taking 25% cpu, downloading nothing, and as far as I can tell not doing a damn thing. Except eating up processing time. Processing what, I dont have a clue. Not when it lasts hours. Normally I would just shut it off. But on a new install I need all the updates. Its really aggravating and until relatively recently I dont recall it being like this. And until I get all those new updates I am stuck and cant do much. I am still calling shenanigans on ms.
  19. All the basics are assembled and it didnt go 'fffst!' when I turned it on. Took longer than expected because for me the water cooler was a bitch to install. If did it their way it would have covered up some important connections but looked around and found other ways people did it with this case. All the while worried that I would break the damn thing and spill coolant all over the place. But it seems to be working and the processor is 36c (I think) so I assume its not burning up. And whatdayaknow, the 960 actually posts. So something went bad on the other board or processor even tho various diagnostics I could find around didnt spot anything wrong. So dunno. Speaking of which, seems nvidia just pulled the latest drivers. Or I saw some popup about that. So something for everyone to check out. Now onto doing a fresh install of windows, the drivers, and all that other tedious stuff.
  20. GoofLoop helped me out so now I understand what I am doing and there should be no worries.
  21. Got off chat and telephone with MS and both assured me that there will be zero problems, with a fully new system, for reactivation. Or worst case, call them and they will take care of it. I always worry something is going to screw with me.
  22. It was recommended I let the new power supply run on its own, outside the case, for a couple hours to break it in. Also to watch for anything that goes 'poof'. So seeing how it goes.
  23. 600? No thanks.
