Freedom is a pretty easy to understand word everywhere. Even among those where English is not their first language. Maybe not even their second. But 'woke'? Other parts of the world probably say 'WTF is woke'? In their native tongue of course.

Slept fitfully. Needed to catch up on it. Before that watched the first video of Why We Fight. Which I remember seeing many many years ago. Certainly a propaganda video made for the US military as we all know. Was just curious to see how what it presented, in 1942, stood up to the test of time and historical analysis.

Ok thanks. I really dont want to upgrade and am not particularly worried about vulnerabilities since I am pretty safe where I go and have all the usual tools that watch out for shit. Just that this python update now starting to cause programs to fail with the missing dll is starting to creep up. One day I will make a new system with all the new expensive goodies as my primary and my current one can be reinstalled with win7 at a later date. Either that or just get a used PC laptop from a reputable seller and install win7 with the programs on that. Without a windows license included it would likely be cheaper than otherwise.

Seems more program updates are not working because of changes in python. Yesterday it was Maya and before UE4 was having some problems. If a particular win10+ dll file is missing then python wont load. Which in turn causes programs not to run. The only 'solution' is to downgrade python but thats a band aid also. Looks like the win10 free upgrade thing still works from what I read so maybe go that route. Other than a drive backup first, any gotchas I should watch out for? Also, since my license is win7 pro, will that update to win10 pro? And best way to do it?

Apologizing is a bit strong. I would say they are preempting the lose-lose controversy in a day where every stupid person in the world can make a public fuss... and other stupid people listen. They wanted to draw a bigger female audience in previous shows... read 'ratings'... so played up female characters. This kind of thing shouldnt be a surprise by BCC, basic cable, HBO, or any of the others. Such as hiring an obvious beefcake male, instead of the better actor, to play a part. Been doing that far far longer than 'woke' was even a thought in someones mind. Or casting Brad Pitt to play a UN researcher or some such so as to get paying female movie goers. And why exactly did they change the aforementioned War of the Worlds to where the main characters were a dock worker and his two kids? There are no kids in that story. How about changing the bad guys from Islamic terrorists to neo-nazis in The Sum of All Fears? Or shoehorning a black guy into a WW2 submarine story when we know they were prohibited from serving on one. However in that case pretty much everybody agreed that was all meant about money. The point being is that it is not the first time such things were changed for one reason or another. Only now someone... and then the politicians and the media... manufactured it into some battle for society when in the past it was "whatever dude I will go take my money somewhere else" and then people would get on with it. But now the right sees 'wokeness' everywhere they want to see it. Which is anything they dont like. Which by the way is the very thing the left is doing by seeing racism everywhere they want to see it. So you cant use the same tactics and then complain when your opponents do the same. The hypocrisy is pathetic. Oh and the right never complained (but much of the left did) when Hollywood often went with a different actress because she had bigger tits to get more paying males.

I would love to see one of those 'commentary' shows pretending to be news with the hosts and guests all high as kites. Especially interviewed politicians. Who knows they might tell the uncomfortable truth.

To add: its not as though I am out a lot of money. I had more free games than purchased. But I was incensed at their instance that they could not delete accounts. Of course they could. Perhaps due to an error or some such, shit happens, but seriously Im not a 12 year old kid.

Well, this is going to be fun. I havent accessed any of my EA games in awhile. And in such cases logins tend to require reactivation. No big deal. The problem is, while I have my UID and last known password (which doesnt work) I do not have access to my old email for recovery. After some digging the CSR (from India so a bit of a language issue) did find the account. And then she said it was deactivated. Well... sorry I didnt do it. She insisted they cant delete accounts several times. I kept telling her I didnt either just to provide some kind of olive branch to see if there were options to figure out such issues... which shouldnt be unusual considering the millions of accounts they have. To be fair phone support can only go so far and have limited authority. However she also refused to transfer me, several times, to someone up the chain that could maybe help me. I had enough with her bullshit and just hung up. So, while likely nothing will come of it (being EA) I wrote a long and clear email about the problem, the conversation, and that I have every original email from them for order confirmations (eml archived from my old accounts) for every EA game I ever got. Some actual purchases some free. Also their registrations. I suppose they will still try and insist that they cant delete accounts. Im also sure I am not the first person to complain that they did. If they do, I guess I will have to find where up the chain to send a very nasty email, send every order confirmation email plus several others from them, and see if they will do something to simply make it all go away.

Some guy comes up to you unexpectedly at a place where such a thing is unheard of. Then gets in your face. The natural involuntary reflex for everyone is to preemptively protect yourself in some way. How they do it depends on the person. Many people will instead see it as deliberate, with ulterior motives, no matter what. Usually because their favorite media personalities told them so, over and over. It is no wonder that the number of people believing in conspiracies everywhere has skyrocketed. While an individual can be quite intelligent the species as a whole is as dumb as a brick.

So are every cable and internet 'news' channel/site/podcast. Most people turn off the Oscars myself included. However most people dont turn off this so-called 'news' and they jerk themselves off until there is nothing left. I guess to see who has the most. Then they wait until they have more, wash/rinse/repeat. But for the topic at hand, since I dont watch that shit it wouldnt surprise me that this actually is news on both sides. And their viewers watch it. No interest in finding out though.

When it comes to money there is always someone at the top that directly benefits from everyone doing it and the final product. Not governments of course... yet... but considering this is entirely about making money who or what is it? Whether or not you want to call it a pyramid? There always is. Cant say myself but the idea that there is nobody at the top of a money making system is like the falsehood known as Leninism/Communism. Thing is, the answer to that might not be something people want to hear.
