  2. Uh, ok. Of course unlike breast implants few will know the results. Well, maybe.
  3. The .50 is fine. Hold your breath and use the zoom levels. Or get the steadycam. And like every other weapon in the game you sometimes have to lead in if your target is running. Always been that way. Personally, I like the zoom perk and the steadycam combination for when you want to be an actual long range sniper. Of course it will cost you an attachment and a perk but up to you.

  5. I went through the betty code again just to be sure. If you have the perk... which is basically an extended uav jammer... then do nothing. No muss no fuss. The exception being if a friendly betty was hacked by an enemy. Then stealth does not protect you. As a list, in order, these will keep the betty from popping up. If any one of these are true then do nothing: friendly betty. You are moving very slowly, like in front of claymores. stealth, unless hacked. are in an RC or predator, which are workarounds. disabled by emp.
  6. I think that is one of those mysterious cod4 things that nobody ever really figured out. Sometimes, when loading a map for the first time, you might get something about 'cycling out'. In which case just join the server again. But it shouldnt actually crash the game.

  8. Ah semtex. Ok I thought you were talking about a care package marker. But semtex is still the same. You throw it. It sticks to a wall. It works. The game engine handles everything internally. The only time when its different is when it hits a player. The engine doesnt allow for stickies on players so that has to be scripted. But I will continue to test things out. Stealth should always protect against Betties. But... for sentries and heli's if you fire an unsilenced weapon with Stealth you will be visible for a couple seconds past your last shot. edit: Unless the Betty is hacked.
  9. You are sure the nade was thrown and didnt go off? You saw it land? Nades I cannot control. You throw them. They work. The only exception to this is if the nade is actually manually deleted first. But nothing about the cp codes does that.
  10. I really dont know what you are trying to do. The ice is solid.
  11. Better thawing is the reason for changing the iceberg in the first place. Makes it easier especially when not close. You can defrost hitting the ice not just the player. Since that is that whole point of the game that takes priority. As for the hiding that meant he couldnt shoot you either. So its a wash.
  12. Ok so you died while the nade was in the air? edit: A request for ideas. Because the steadycam attachment was added for sniper rifles there is no need for the reduced sway part of Hunter. Steadycam is much better. So if that were removed what kind of thing could be added, in addition to thermal, to keep the perk useful to snipers?
  13. You mean after you threw it but before the heli started up? Shot after you threw it but before it exploded with the smoke?
  14. Steam does not charge for patches. Patches should be downloaded and applied automatically. But yes... DLC costs.
  15. Both are works in progress but these are NOT being added to the old mod.
  16. For now if you die the SAM turret will not be dropped. You will still have it on respawn. It is set this way to get around a bug that gave you another SAM after you respawned even tho it was dropped. In the future that will be fixed so you drop it. Unless everyone likes it this way. That is up to the admins and I will set it whichever way they want. SAMs and miniguns/nades can be different. Keep the SAM but drop the sentries. If this is not happening let me know. I popped in and the center reticle is no longer there so I assume the server was restarted overnight to reflect the change.
  17. There are two 'drop' keys. Be sure you use the right one. The correct one is 'drop object'. The two are there because one is supposed to handle things like the sentry or the briefcase bomb. The other is for rifles.
  18. I reset the server config for it. Should be gone on the next server restart.
  19. Old argument about the ACR and not worth delving into it again. It was noobish in that there was zero skill required to use it. Also pretty stupid to have a weapon where you can empty an entire mag in a few seconds and suffer no accuracy or recoil issues whatsoever. At least with a tube you have to figure out trajectories and things like that. You also only get two nades. IMHO cod is too easy anyways but the mod doesnt do the 'tactical realism' thing.

  23. Yes its dev info. I missed it. For the bubble to work there are five versions. Each smaller than the last. Yes I could do more but its also a matter of how big the xmodel gets. I will be testing in the future for a version of 8 or 10 and see if I can get away with it. Unfortunately the game engine doesnt allow me to simply scale a model up or down. I dont know if the server got restarted yet but the next time it does the SAM should change so you do not drop it on death but keep it. Its not consistent with the others but should get around the drop on death issues until I get a fix online.
