All I can think of is make sure the headset is used as the defaults for both the speakers and mic in Windows. Maybe some other program is changing things. TS or something perhaps.

Since this is the right thread for it, ran some tests on the wip OW2 mod for melee teabaggers today to see if a count can be kept and it works. For testing if a melee attack hits the iceberg itself too much in one lifetime you explode and are frozen. It is reset on respawn. I frown on adding things that directly affect or force players actions and I think I will set it as a bonus score given to whoever shoots him. Like avenger or the anit-camper bonus score. But I am open to suggestions and other ideas.

Why? Because they can. The trick is to have a teammate kill him while he is doing it and then troll him. Anyone stupid enough to stand still right next to a frozen enemy deserves to get shot.

Very nice map indeed. I dont know about the older OW2 mod but tried in on the ftag-only one at home and it starts up ok.

Check your old one. See if the intake/outtake vents have a dust carpet. Consider reapplying the paste. However I doubt that would cause a game to crash immediately.

Except for the tac nuke the mod does not support that because everything was balanced between kill requirements and lethality. It would also make the menu a bitch to do.

Well I recognize the episodes that most of those clips came from and dont live in a basement. So there. Oil is far more important than most think about. Its not just your car. Heating. Electricity. Despite what you see in many movies its also your kitchen cleaner. Plant food. T-shirts and shoes. Vitamins. Booster shots for your kids. Not to mention all plastics and laytex. Including the ones that are used as containers for bottles, iv bags and other medical related items. Disinfectant for hospitals. Lube for the machines that process food. Insect control for farms. Tape. Everything that needs petrolium based chemicals. So it is no wonder that nations fight over dominance to get it. Its an old maxim that when you take away all the things a society takes for granted it will demand their leaders to get it. They dont care how. These days if a country like the US has zero oil eventually eighty to ninety percent of its population will die.

This is the main reason why I am holding off getting BF3 for example, even tho the price for the premium game is quite good. Something can be an excellent game... in this case arguably much better than BF4... but often people will only play the newer one simply for that reason. Its newer. Doesnt help that the companies push this, as business is supposed to, but too many people ignore their better judgement and listen to them.

Hi everyone. Posting a demo vid for a different gametype that in the future I can upload to the new ow2 server. Its called Battle Royale. An earlier test version of the game was on another XI server several months ago but it has gone through a lot of changes and is much more stable. It is an 'elimination' game with no respawn. All players start with an empty pistol and a knife. No primary, explosives or perks. During the game at random intervals helicopters will drop various kinds of care packages that will contain a random primary weapon, attachment, perk, explosive, primary/secondary ammo resupply or body armor. Any player can take it. Other than type, as shown by head icons, the exact contents of the package are unknown. If you have a primary, and take another, the older primary is lost. If that primary has an attachment it is also lost. Same with taking a new attachment. The current attachment is lost. Players can have up to three perks. If a fourth is taken the oldest of the three is removed. Players can only have one explosive at a time. There is also a single elimination server timer that applies to all players. If no player in the game makes any kill before the timer expires (60 seconds in the demo) a random player explodes and the timer resets. So it would be best to search for and destroy your enemy. In the unlikely event that the match timer runs out before all players are eliminated all remaining players explode and there is no winner. There are also rotating minefields that appear and disappear at random intervals. Since for this gametype to work it will require me to waypoint all maps in the rotation with sever side mod scripts it will depend on how much interest there is. At first the rotation will have 8-10 maps, mostly stock. And before anyone asks... no streaks. edit: In the vid, the player has 10 rounds in the sidearm on spawn but that is for testing only.

I might get it eventually but I would need a gpu upgrade. However the thing I like the most about it is that there are no serious bugs. A rarity these days.
