Never really liked it all that much. Cant say why. However a lot of it could do with the audience. It was full of hackers and losers so it was not worth playing. It also took forever to load maps. By the time I got in the game the first round was already over. Also, only a few of the maps were any good.

Game Hook generally means something like a graphics hack or a few other things.

I would think whatever you are using has an installer. Yes what you are seeing is Windows not knowing what to do with it when you double-click. So it asks you which program to use. If what you downloaded doesnt have an installer then you got the wrong thing.

Are you totally serial?

Uploaded a couple script fixes and restarted server. Both problems seemed to be related to a player being disconnected in between server frame processes. Just a reminder to any admin that restarts the server. Please rename the 'console_mp' log file to "console_mp_todaysdate" so I can download it and hopefully find if the server had a problem. Otherwise when the server is restarted the log is erased.

Yup already made sure the ammo is different. At the moment I think I will leave it as above where the M32 model is the same, except for the lack of the optical sight on the GL. Might add something else to the streak weapon that is more cosmetic than anything else so it looks different. Then I can take out the Chinalake model.

On the test mod added the M32 and its pretty cool. However since it adds another model I am trying it also as a Chinalake replacement, but with 2X rounds as usual. It will also be used for a high value streak. The usual 6 rounds + 6 in reserve. The perk1 GL will not have an optical sight, as with Chinalake. The streak version will have one. It will be possible to have both. If your loadout is the GL and you get the streak. But they will in fact be separate weapons. Will having two of them like this be confusing? I figure the lack of an optical sight will distinguish between the two but maybe something else is needed?

If its a map, delete the map and download directly from the redirect then put in usermaps. I find direct downloads are more reliable when things crash and certainly when its slow like that.

Its not a hack. Just a symptom of how things work and something that got missed. The radiation part should already be gone if the server was restarted within the last 12 hours. I dont know if it has been.

No it would be all guns. Collision on the mesh works in only one direction. If inside the mesh it faces away from you so bullets behave as if it isnt there. However because the bubble itself is not a uniform shape its not always possible to tell from your viewport if the gunhand is inside of it.

You spawn next to a frozen enemy and you die? That cant be the ice radiation since it does not do damage at all. As with everything like that there is no damage done unless I specifically add it. I can print the code if you dont believe me. The gas for example has two parts. I specifically have to apply the shock effect. Then I specifically have to apply the damage. Two different functions. That is how friendlies can feel the shock effects of the gas but only enemies are damaged by it. In any case I shut off the radiation effects and it should be gone on the next server restart. Unfortunately you can still glitch. One of those things that just didnt show up on testing because nobody, including myself, ever tried to do it.

For the defrost I can add an exception that if you are defrosting... by either the beam or proximity... you are unaffected. If the vote 'wins' for non-solid then no biggie. So long as everyone knows it will require downloading a new mod.ff file because the model itself has to be recompiled.

Perhaps you can be more specific on what happened? When you say stuck that means you cannot move away at all? It cannot kill you. It can disorient but that is all. When the tweaks go live this shouldnt happen as much unless you are really close and for a longer period of time. As a side note: Any further issues about not being able to kill enemies hiding in bubbles? edit: If all the admins prefer the non-solid version... with the caviat that you must aim the beam at the player only to defrost... I will change it. It wont be ready for a few days because I must recompile parts of the mod. Take a vote and let me know what the score is.

Ok how is this.... To be affected you must almost be, but not quite, touching the enemy player collision cylinder. You should see yourself visibly standing inside the largest bubble size. The smallest ones you wont since they already are pretty much the size of the enemy player. The delay is five seconds before the effects begin. If five is not enough to get around enemies in unusual locations I can raise that to 10.

Do you by chance have an ATI graphics card. They put up on the CCC download page that their last version, or one before that, had problems with AHCI.

Because with rebate the asus sound card was only 15 bucks I got it anyways. Personally I think it does sound better than the realtek onboard one. Even with my non-audiophile ears. Hopefully that is not just me justifying the money. So I was experimenting with different settings and trying out the surround while testing the mod. I did like the atmosphere, so to speak, but made it harder to discern were sounds were coming from exactly. However maybe there are other settings that allow me to fine tune the effect. I can choose 2-4-6-8 speakers but thats about it, not including the various digital effects. For 3D games it recommended 8 so I stuck with that.

Now that everything is put together I like how the case turned out. Its certainly bigger than the older one. The need for a platform due to the underneath intake for the PS also makes it taller. I might have to rearrange some things around the desk because of the size. But things are pretty cramped as it is and I dont know if I can. Its pretty quiet with just the included fans and PS. Just the airflow. Its still kinda noisy however and the source is the CPU cooler fan. But its one of those Zalmans that look like a turbine facing to the side so its supposed to be a bit noisy I guess. I just thought it was quieter when I first got it. The loudest sound is not from its airflow but the fan hum itself. Pretty sure its going full blast. It came with a plastic fan control but its not in it right now. The MB has some kind of smart fan controller based on CPU temps but never tried it. Or if you need a 4-pin fan, which it is not. Because there are already enough openings I have the top grill covered with a book. It helps and there is less sound coming out from the CPU fan. Anything I can do to find out if the fan hum is unusual, or a way I might be able to lessen it if the fan maybe got dust in it or something? I know fans dont last for ever. This one is around 3 years old I think.

I am curious whether or not people use straight two speaker headphone sound for games, older and current, or the various "Dolby" type stuff that I suppose is to enhance 3D. I have tried both and find the normal settings allow for better directional audio to hear where things are coming from. But I do like surround stuff more. Because I am not a very good player to begin with I wouldnt want to make it even worse.
