oh and i did a search for the config_mp file and it did not find it... perhaps i should make one? where is it supposed to be located? root dir? sorry for flooding... i noticed that cod WAW has the maps and mods in the virtual store, but COD 4 does not, it is in C:\Program Files (x86)\Activision\Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare

ok fishman i have all that you just posted above... is that bad or good? so I am in win 7 and yes my user maps and mods are in that folder... should I move them? is yes ... to where... or is there a way to redirect them elsewhere? just tried to join freeze tag in cod 4 again and same thing... dnloads the first 2 files np.... then the big one starts dnloading @ 10 kb.sec.... very frustrating :veryangry:

i think virtual means if you bought it off of the web like steam.. that to me would be a virtual store... mine are on my hard drive, as i bought the disk in a physical store... is that what you mean Fishman?

funny i am having the exact same problem when i try to join the cod 4 freeze tag beta... it will do the first 2 files really quickly, then the next one dnloads about 10 kb/sec. i just get tired of waiting and cancel. i have had this problem b4 as well. oh, and yes i have used the auto dnloader but it still wants to dnld the maps everytime i try to join even though the auto dnloader says i am up to date... so its not just your computer doing this Katana.

wanna make it really nice and crispy? mix some brown sugar with rolled oats and a bit of all purpose floor, and crumble in some butter... (the consistency should look and feel like wet sand) then press that mixture on the top of what u r already doing... then bake it... ur gonna love it!!

what!!??? just standing there so people can kill you is NOT the way to play? dammit!!! and here I was thinking i finally got it right I wish i could bunny hop... but when my brain finally registers that i need to hop... and my finger finally finds the jump key... and i look up back at the screen to see where i'm goinna jump... i'm already dead... lol no... bunny hopping is a difficult skill to master... wish i was that skilled ... so i just run like hell when i hear bullets flying... lol
