do a hardware diagnostic, if all is ok then if u can afford to lose info on ur hard drive, (or back it up while in safe mode) then wipe the drive clean and re-install everything... i had similar problems, and since then i periodically re-format and re-install everything... seems things have gotten really messy with windows... someone is always trying to screw us all... its a conspiracy i tell ya! but doing a complete clean install works for me...

ok so i listened to 2 of Rusty's songs... (and DJ i was right he was just trying to share his own material... so try not to be so quick to assume things pal) and he is actually not a bad singer... you guys should give it a listen!!! Rusty, you will both need to download the program, then you can "browse" specific folders on each other's hard drive (you have to set up which folders you will allow others to access on your computer) then you can share to your heart's content. Also bearshare have some filters that try to stop piracy, but i think it is minimal. enjoy. oh!! and did you know Xfire also have a way for you to share with friends... did it once or twice, but that was a while ago. and so does teamspeak 3.
