  1. Why just watch silent planes on a computer screen? Tune into ATC while your watching! - http://www.liveatc.net/
  2. Probably just woke up. It'll go down.
  3. Send me your linkedin address. I may have an idea. Can you relocate? No promises, of course, but I think you might like what ring I throw your hat into.
  4. It's probably time we got over all these hackusations that keep cropping up. If you see a hacker, use xfire to bring it to the attention of an XI Admin. It's a big part of why we're here in the first place. VonMula - Good video of jornal-23! This is the kind of thing we need. But it's also an Admin's job to get this kind of video. On that day, and in that same map, Panzergirl xfired me letting me know there was a hacker on the server. I came in to the server and also got video. He was banned on the spot. It didn't take long, and it went down by the book - mainly because another player - Panzergirl - followed the proper protocol. Unfortunately, there are times when a rash of hackers comes around and there's a fever that breaks out among some players. Or maybe a witch hunt would be a more appropriate analogy. But it's not appropriate for players to gang up on other players and start making continuous hackusations. VonMula, I'm sure you get what I'm saying here; you've had your fair share of hackusations aimed at you. But if I were you, I'd drop the 5 other aliases you have and just play on our servers as VonMula. You might as well own it! Better that than hiding behind a bunch of names that everyone sees right through anyway. .
  5. Happy Birthday P!nk. Hope you go nuts today. In a good way. It's your day, after all.
  6. My OP is too old to be relevant, KillingTime. You should start a new post if you continue to have problems. However, from my end, all COD5 servers have been up this weekend (3/22 & 3/23) Server status is on the front page of the website.
  7. MUCH faster today, .
  8. Website has been slow as growing grass a lot lately. Are we off the CDN?
  9. Coming soon, on Girls Rock Radio...
  10. After blowing the dust out this radiator, I'm running a full 10ºC cooler. Cleaned up and ready for action. "AeroPepr" ready to go back to her place in my office. AeroPepr and GirlsRockRadio (my Internet radio station's computer) in their natural habitat. Breakfast Club regulars now understand what I mean when I mention the sun in my eyes. That's an east-facing patio door behind my monitor.
  11. This is "AeroPepr" - an i7-950 w/ 6x2GB, GeForce GTX 660Ti, 2ea 2TB, 1ea 1TB, 1ea 350GB VelociRaptor, 2ea Optical Drives, Corsair 750W, Corsair H70 Water Cooler, XClio case. (in the garage because I just blew all the dust out of her.) AeroPepr and GirlsRockRadio (my Internet radio station's computer) in their natural habitat. Breakfast Club regulars now know what I mean by needing to close the drapes when the sun is coming up. That's an east-facing patio door right behind my monitor.
  12. Happy Birthday Rami! Get pissed!
  13. I'm on a Business account with Charter. The modem they dropped in here is a Ubee Model DDW365. I suspect it's quite different on the residential side. I think everyone gets those other crashed between maps, and especially if you downloaded the previous map, but this thing going on with me is something else. It hangs "setting up game..." so hard a restart is required to kick it out of memory. I think it really is port 28960 being closed that's blocking the game.
  14. They claim, because I have a static IP, that all ports are open, but that's just a lie and I've called them out on it. AND they are having a bitch of a time setting up port forwards in the modem, so they are on their way over here to replace it. I doubt that is going to fix it. I think a router of my own to put behind their modem is in my future.
  15. Don't think so, SOB. What I'm hearing on that front is that I may be under-volting my CPU at its present level of overclock. I might have to drop down in speed and jack up the CPU voltage just a tad and see if it starts behaving. That game apparently stresses the shit out of the CPU and the GPU.
  16. Yes, Beers - exactly. But for whatever reason, the boys n' girls at Charter are having a bit of a problem getting port forward settings to stick in the modem. They are on the way to replace it. I'm doubtful that will help, though.
  17. Good to know. I'll give that a try, but a port scan shows port 28960 closed and the Charter boys and girls seem to be having a hard time wrestling the modem into submission. They are on their way to replace it as I type...
  18. When I start the game, it hangs at the screen that simply says "Setting up game..." in white letters on a black background. It hangs so bad, even Task Manager cannot kill the program. I literally have to restart the computer. This is getting frustrating as hell. My ability to actually get into the game now stands at about 8 0-NO/20-YES. Why I have been able to get in sometimes is a mystery to me. Is ANYONE Else having this problem? I've been wondering if it's a COD5 master server problem, a PunkBuster problem, or if it's a local problem on my computer. It all started when I changed ISPs from my local telco DSL to Charter cable Internet. But everything else on the Internet is fine, so I'm hard-pressed to point the finger at Charter. If anything, I think it's just plain coincidence that it started happening right when I made the ISP switch, and I have been able to play since making the switch, but again, it's 8 0-NO/20-YES at best.
  19. Good article. Lots of people, history, and implications. And for those still steadfastly holding on to IE as their browser of choice, note that Microsoft has left the IE team without direction. Wow. http://windowssecrets.com/top-story/turmoil-at-microsoft-implications-for-windows-users/
  20. Yes - it sure is!
