  1. Well, it took forever, but I knew along you'd make it, you Idiot, you. Welcome finally!
  2. Thanks for leaving me off. Really appreciate that.
  3. Brilliant!
  4. Happy Birthday Rugger!
  5. Instead of "Hogan", just put "djMot's Clink Bitch"
  6. djMot>XI<ADM Little d, Little j, capital M, little ot. Only one t in Mot. I'm not a juice. I may get juiced, but I prefer orange juice. Breakfast Club Rulz!
  7. There's no I in ldoz. But there's a dozen of something. We're just not sure what.
  8. I use ClassicShell, too. It's perfect in that you can configure it to respond the way you want it to. I have mine configured to give the Win7-style menu if I click the start button, go to the "Metro" start screen if I tap the Windows Key, and give me the default Win8.1 context menu on right-click. It's absolutely brilliant and the best of all worlds.
  9. No shit, @DuckyofDeath123 !! After working with 8.1 for just a few days, I was in love with it. Decidedly superior to any previous Windows version I've used. I still scratch my head over the way they felt it necessary to flatten the interface, but in all other regards, 8.1 simply and absolutely rocks. I will count myself in the "pros" column. Listen to the pros. They know what they are saying. And if you're running a "cracked" version of Win8 then you are getting just what you paid for, and you can expect issues for stealing copyrighted, licensed material. It's just that simple. Cost too much? Where were you when MS offered Win8 for $40? Oh, yeah, right, too busy hating on it for the pure hearsay of it all. Oops. Did ya really think saving the $40 was a good idea because, well, Win8 could never catch on in a million years, right?
  10. I don't have a single driver issue with Win8.1. I have no idea what your on about with that comment. Everything has simply worked better on Win8.1 for me.
  11. Welcome Klaus!
  12. I don't subscribe to this theory. The only truly horrendous Windows version was WinMe, which was the bridge between WinNT on the corporate workstation, and mainstream home computing. Problem is that it amounted to little more than a user interface update on Win95 and a half-baked move to poorly implemented features of the NT core that were not fully realized until XP. But that's ancient history (in computer years) Vista was just fine. Everyone freaked over UAC, and although it was designed to keep the typical user from getting a headshot from drive-by malware, everyone wanted to shoot microsoft for making them click OK before anything could be installed. WTF? And did you see UAC go away in 7? Nope. I ran an Internet radio station on Vista for 6 YEARS. I had absolutely NO problems with Vista at all, and liked it a hellofa lot better than XP. Each new version of Windows gets a bad rap. There is a tick-tock cycle with Windows, and yes, Win8, Win8.1 is a tic, 9 will be a tock, but with each tick and each tock, things improve. People just don't want to believe the tick is worth a damn because it's where the next wave of wonderful begins, and that means change, and everyone resists change. Well, resistance is futile. Win8.1=Fantastic. Win9 will probably be even more fantastic, but that doesn't make the current fantastic any less fantastic right at this moment.
  13. Yeah, it's true. I have mine configured so if I tap the Windows Key, I get the Metro Start screen, and if I click the Start button on the taskbar, I get the classic Win7-style start menu. Best of both worlds.
  14. I know right? It's the fear of the unknown, pure and simple. And once you know, the fear seems absurd in retrospect. All that's left is the kicking yourself for not doing it sooner! Dean, my suggestion gives you the best of both worlds, and once you've totally migrated over to Win8.1, you can wipe the original drive you currently have Win7 on and start using it for Win8.1's "File History" and an image backup.
  15. Dean, if you have Win7 Pro 64 bit, there is no need to upgrade to 8.1 at this time. That might be worth holding off until you have a new pc. HOWEVER - if you're okay spending the money, remember this one thing, then consider my advice... Remember: Win8.1 Pro 64 Bit OEM can only be installed on one machine period. It's a little cheaper. Win8.1 Pro 64 Bit RETAIL can be un-installed and re-installed on a different machine. It's more expensive.. Advice (if you're going to go with Win8.1 at this time): Buy a 2TB WesterDigital Black Drive. Install the drive in your system (it will be secondary to your original C: which is still booting win7, but that won't matter for long...) Install Win8.1 Pro 64 Bit from your CD drive. Follow this guide to set up a dual boot (you could actually ignore this guide, boot from the CD and install onto the new, blank drive, and it will just take care of it. If you read the guide, it will jump you from beginning to almost the end where you'll come to the same conclusion - that being that MS did a brilliant job of making this drop-dead simple!) http://www.eightforums.com/tutorials/2344-dual-boot-installation-windows-8-windows-7-vista.html Aside from the flattened interface (which I don't mind so much any more), there is no fear moving to Win8.1. I absolutely LOVE it. Don't fall into the negative hype trap - it's all crap. Everything works on 8.1 and it's delightful to use. The differences are subtle, but wonderful. Yes, you will probably want to get "Classic Shell" so you can have a Win7-style start menu on the desktop. Hibernate mode is better way of powering off, and you'd almost think you have an SSD with how fast it boots AND returns you to where you left off when you power back up. Win8.1 is worth that one feature alone!
  16. Apparently she caught you and booted you off before you had a chance to rotate the picture, too.
  17. The advice in here just make me sometimes. For Win7 - Microsoft Security Essentials For Win8 - It's built in; just make sure it's on (which it is by default.) And yes - stay away from facebook, by all means. Evil empire. LOL Use ABP (Ad Blocker Plus) in Firefox and Chrome if you're worried about ad networks. And you should be. Don't UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE use Internet Explorer! One exception - use it to download either Firefox or Chrome. That is the extent of its value.

  19. No, it was reduced a few days ago when the discussion of why can't people get in with the password any more, and how come the number in the server didn't seem to match the cutoff before requiring a password. That precipitated re-assessing the slot compliment the server makes available. To reiterate Rugger's answer, if a passworded slot is already in use, it does not become available again, even if the total player numbers drop below the cutoff requiring a password, then rises back up to it again, until the person who has it lets it go. That makes the use of passwords vs. total available slots seem inconsistent at times, even though there is logic to the madness.
  20. Not to mention, and let's not forget that a slut, or a slot, whichever you prefer (this discussion applies to either) cost money each month whether in use or not. Dropping to 18(20) saves some money, and it probably reflects a more realistic assessment of average utilization. That should explain the why. As NITRO said, contact a damn admin so you can go play instead of posting about the server being full. If you're clan you can get in. Rare is the time (but pretty damn cool when it happens!) when the server is stuffed full of XI tags.
  21. Yes, we need more sluts. I, for one, proudly answer to slut, but yes, more would be good.
  22. Dean, is it because you are not contacting an admin to get you in? Beyond the passworded slots, admins are happy to kick non-members to permit space for members. Clan membership has it's benefits. But if you don't ask, you don't receive... I'm not able to play all day, but I'm often available on xfire. That's the preferred tool to get with me on.
  23. A helping hand for the lovely Panzergirl Great song.
  24. Japan does not export music, so this is a pretty rare glimpse into the state of Techno-Pop over there. This was recorded TODAY according to the date stamp in the title. The stage production in amazing - and how about those remotely addressable light sticks?!? http://youtu.be/HIVYhZhyPIo
  25. So you are saying that, when there are exactly 20 players in the server, and you try to connect as the 21st, you are redirected. And then you try again with the password (you're still trying to be the 21st player) and it still redirects you. Did I state that correctly as you see it? I see that HLSW reports the slot compliment as "20(22)" but if you can confirm we never get past 20, then I will open a ticket - or you can (http://www.xtremeidiots.com/index.php?app=tickets) - and we'll see about getting @@Ruggerxi involved. I can see the way the server is configured for the game by looking in its config file, but I don't have access to any admin dashboard on the actual server, so I cannot verify it has been set to 22 slots.
