I have noticed on the btea server that you cannot throw a granade until your spawn protection time is up, even if you draw your gun soon as you spawn. but you can on the other servers.

This hhappened to me in cod5 it was caused by punkbuster not letting me play while loged into steam comunity in game so i unticked box and it let me play. Dont know if it is same for your game but just thought i would let you know.
