Bazza question how are you connected to the internet....cable to modem, DSL to modem, wifi from landlord router ? open a dos box and type " ipconfig/all " do not post ipconfig list here. the list will show all connections. other is to cleanup your attemps to connect with other hardware and what version of IPv4 or IPv6 the ISP using. by typing for IPv4 "ipconfig/release" and for IPv6 "ipconfig/release6" NOTE: only have the hardware you know is a good unit in working order connect to network. once done then type "ipconfig/renew" for IPv4 and so for IPv6 if still have issues then need to type "ipconfig/flushdns" then type "ipconfig/registerdns" if still a connection there but not on system type "ipconfig /release *CON*" name of connection
