What the error is saying is that the 1.5 to 1.6 patch is broken so he must download a good copy of the patch. Its not hard to get a corrupted patch or a patch loading to get corrupted. Many would tell ya after a few tries that the whole mess should be deleted and try again. I say what the hell try getting the patch again and trying again. P.S. save them .
