Over 50 years ago when I was growing up this was a reality. No one could afford to spay and neuter. Everyone had a potato sack and a rock. Animals we’re fed on table scraps, cats were for rodents, dogs for protection. These things were real feeding and housing the family took every cent a person made. Boughten pet food was just beginning to be a multi billion dollar industry it is today. Times have changed for the better.

I over heard a conversation in the coffee shop the other day between two senior gentlemen. Let’s call them @RobMc and @WeednFeed Rob was telling weed he was driving around prostitution corner the other evening and he happened upon a cute young lady he fancied. This intrigued weed’s curiosity. Rob began to explain what a great service he received! This service had a ORAL THEME if you know what I mean. Weed beckoned Rob for more details? It turns out this Lady of the evening offers 2 services, 5 pounds and 10 pounds. Now @RobMc being the thrifty senior he is he opted for the 5 pound service to test the waters. Wow weed asked for 5 pounds what was it like? Well Rob said “If I would have went for the 10 pound service SHE WOULD HAVE TAKEN THE COVID MASK OFF!

Hopefully all turns out well.

I have win 10 works perfect. The short story is whenever I have COD4 crashes it’s always related to a sound issue. I have a Steel series 7 gaming headset, over the last 2-3 years I’ve been plagued with COD4 sound issue crashes. I believe @dLUX used to have the same issues with Steel series. It turned out to be every time my headset crashed it also crashed my game. I assume my headset corrupted my sound files. The only way to fix it was to reinstall my Steel series software. This always started when I walked away from my pc and the pc went into sleep mode. I finally Lund a post about resetting my headset by removing the ear cover and using a paper clip to reset it. Fingers crossed everything is working fine with no crashing for 2 weeks. Kind of off topic but I believe most COD4 crashes are related to sound

Thanks @RobMc the recipe i copied and butchered from John Kirkwood's YouTube channel, I highly recommend his channel. He is a fantastic cook from the north of England. Here's the link bellow. Here in this part of Canada all our HCB's are frosted. I skipped his lemon zest and added lemon juice to my glaze and frosting. Locally we use raisins and currents. Last year I ran short of R&C so I added a few candied cherries (worked great but been a long time since we old farts set eyes on a cherry)

My dad is 90 he ate 3 of these! Man that’s a lot for anyone let alone being his age lol.

It’s that time of year. Made a double batch of HOT CROSS BUNS today. Dropped them off to 4 different relatives. Here are a few pictures. They are made with a white flour yeast bread. Filled with raisins and currents ( you can use any dried fruit) spiced with Mixed spice and cinnamon. I glazed them with sugar water and fresh lemon juice for a sweet/tart kick. The crosses are powdered (icing) sugar with water and the fresh lemon juice and a bit of Vanilla. A very big hit here. They’re a big sweet in the UK during lent or the Easter season.
