Well over 20+ years ago I bought my first pc from a local shop . He asked me will you be gaming? If so you’ll need a better video card. Gaming? No I’ve never played a video game, just that ping pong thing. Three weeks later my brother calls me up saying hey I want you to download MOHAA free sample game! I should have never listened to him. Well I bought the 3 disc expansion pack. Found a FREEZE TAG server owned by the {DOGZ} clan. FREEZE TAG for me is the single best mode. Well shortly after spending many hours @ {DOGZ} I was invited to become an admin. Now MOHAA was rabid with cheaters our server had many mods but that opened the doors for cheaters because the anti cheat built into the game had to be turned off in order to run our beloved mods. Well old Weedy here was quite innocent and I had no programming experience and still don’t. The clan owner explained about peeps coming into the server with wall hacks and etc. He sends me a file that makes everyone in the server 2 fluorescent colours depending on your team. He tells me when ever we suspect cheaters as an admin you turn this on and watch the cheaters run through the map directly to hidden players. So sure enough I’m able to turn these files off and on and ban cheaters. So really as and admin I was using a HACK to catch HACKERS. It didn’t take long to catch them. We also had a couple of special people in the clan that I always questioned how in the HELL could THEIR FINGERS MOVE SO FAST. I asked them how do you guys shoot, squat and bash so damn fast? “It’s easy we’ll send you a files. Indeed they did. One guy was a programmer for Microsoft. They were rewriting the script making 1 key do several commands. Yes indeed another cheat. I’m sure the more modern games are a bit more complicated than MOHAA to cheat in but as @J3st3r mentions I believe a few people here are playing with their files OR are they just YOUNGER FASTER BETTER . lolol

I feel these things mentioned do happen, but to what extent I’ll never know. I just soldier on, not worth the aggravation thinking about more than a nanosecond from my point of view. I’m old and realized a long time ago there will always be someone YOUNGER FASTER AND BETTER at gaming than I’ll ever be. It’s just the facts. That’s why most of my points are from defrosting in freeze tag. My biggest disappointment in our servers is when peeps constantly go on about people supposedly HACKING. We all have heard it, we have admins doing the best they can. To be honest I really can’t tell if people are hacking unless it’s totally obvious I can count on 1 hand the times I’ve seen this in our servers. Always someone younger faster better! I just move on with this attitude and the game stays enjoyable for me. Oh I wish I was that good to be called a hacker! Wayne

Much better year fir the the garden this year. Mrs Weed and I bottled 2 nice batches of green beans yesterday. We also froze a bunch last week. The raw ones are the ones we froze. We also shared as much with family. We had a great crop.

Thanks everyone for all the kind words. He just keeps on fighting a good fight. The nurses in dialysis are always telling him he’s too young looking to be 90 lol, they keep tormenting and teasing him, he loves the attention. He had a new fancy shirt on the other day and one of those fiery nurses told he looked like a PIMP, he laughed his head off. He told everyone at the party.

Dave, the most importing you’ll do this year is visit with them! Just imagine the changes in the world your dad has witnessed on 91 years. Cheers Wayne

For all of you that have followed my dad's journey over the last little while, here is an update. Today Dad celebrated his 90th Birthday. We are so blessed to have him make this milestone. Over the last 2 years he has really been through a lot of health issues. Many times we thought we were going to loose him. He is a real fighter. He is stable and after congestive heart failure and receiving a pace maker/defibrillator, Kidney failure/Dialysis, breaking his hip and breaking it again. All my siblings are here to celebrate. He was moved to tears and while trying to express how much he loves us all. I won't admit that most of us had tears as well. When you are raised by a such a GREAT man it is impossible not to be emotional. Many of his grandchildren and several of his Great Grandchildren were here to shower him with hugs and kisses. The Love of Family gives him the strength to continue his journey. We had some great Lebanese meals over the last 3 days! It is with great pride I call him Dad. If you love someone tell them before it is too late. Wayne

I personally hate raccoons! I would kill everyone of them if I could. I really don't care if they stay in the woods but those little shits that eat 1 bite out of every corn I grow or the ones that break into my pigeon coop and kill everything really piss me off. The those ones that break, tear and chew through my garbage containers really upset me. I have a bit of a raccoon cemetery in my yard! Or do I? What really makes me mad are those SNOWFLAKES that feed those dam raccoons, encouraging them to seek food around dwellings, not REAL SMART THING TO DO.

Going to the Credit Union today funny CU’s are mentioned in this post. I’ll be negotiating a better interest rate for our RRSP an TFSA accounts. If you don’t negotiate you won’t get a better deal. My ace in my sleeve is another CU has better rates and have a certain amount of GIC to transfer from elsewhere, so negotiating will be in their court

Legally here in Canada I can plant 4 plants for myself and the wife BUT we are not into that. I’m sure it can be a great hobby for some.

I keep my vehicles from 13-18 years. I buy new so I know what hasn’t been done to it. When I worked for a living a younger fellow was leasing every 3 years. He says to me why don’t you get a nice new truck? He told me he just leases his. I asked how much his lease was, I said never mind, let’s say you are paying $400 a month every month for 8 years that’s $38,400 dollars over 8 years. I said I haven’t had a vehicle payment for 8 years and I have my $38,400 in my bank and someone else has yours. He had a really sick looks on his face. I sold my 2002 pickup in December 2019, no payment for 14 years. We had a Honda civic for 15 years and gave to our daughter who drove it for 2 years. We bought a second hand 2004 Honda Civic in 2014 for $5000. It now has 136,00 km that’s 84,500 miles. it’s 18 years old. Got the oil changed at Mr Lube last week one of the guys wants to buy…not happening lol. Buy new keep it, do responsible maintenance and keep your money in your pocket. As the vehicle ages to about 12-15 years I will do about $2500 maintenance per year if it continues to increase I dump them.

Yes we fry them. They make a great pesto, so I’ve been told. Next year someone has asked for some for pesto.

Very nice! Here in eastern Canada I'm in zone 5b only because I'm near the coast the farther inland the zones change to 5A and 5. I plant the first week of June and the garden is finished September October. I start my onions in March, tomatoes and peppers in April, squash, cucumbers, cantaloupe and watermelon in May. This year I started some of my corn in May. I will have 3 staggered harvest dates. First time experiment.
