Very excited, I've been drawn for a 2021 Moose license in New Brunswick Canada! This is only my second draw in all my years from the age of 18 to 64! We have a 5 day hunt. The first time we only had 3 day hunt and tropical storm came through and we received 5 inches of rain in 2 days and went home empty handed. September 21-25/2021. I wish it was 5 days later for the cooler weather but very excited to have the second chance in my life. Wayne

Just to add I only used 2 types of apples because place I bought them ran out of Macintosh! Crabapples would be great too!

@pitbullpeteYou can use what ever type of apples you want that are acceptable for apple jelly. Just google to make sure they will work. The fresher/newer the better. That means fresh from the trees work better. They have more PECTIN when freshly picked. You do not need to put cinnamon in them if you prefer not to. RED APPLES make red jelly, common sense. The recipe says 18 cups of apple juice, that is the juice I drained off from the apples I boiled. The recipe mentions draining the apples overnight but after 3 hours you won’t gain very much so I only drain for 3-4 hours. DON’T try and squeeze any juice from the cheese cloth you will make the jelly all cloudy! Enjoy!

Thanks @Sammy I did realize the difference between the EMP’s per mod. I selfishly like the bigger radius because that’s how I gain my most points. I also really appreciate all the work you’ve done on the new mod! As a matter of fact I appreciate all the work all the mod and admin work everyone does for our enjoyment! It’s so easy for folks to criticize and whine, sadly a part of life!

Well seeing I’m not real accurate at shooting, as my K/D ratio and accuracy % stats clearly reflect. I’m finding I’m less accurate on the older mod. My biggest gain for points in the newest mod came from the 3 EMP’s I carry. The OLDER MOD EMP’s for me just do not have a big enough radius. Yes a fellow should be more accurate with them but as an average player my accuracy is not that good. I’ve always said my highest scores come from my defrosting! So realizing the newer mod gave me higher scores I’m glad I voted for the new mod! I still will play either mod but would love the EMP radius in the older mod increased a bit, not necessarily as much the new mod. thanks Wayne

To all our XI friends from Europe and beyond, I have a little question and story. Way back in the 1960’s when my hair was brown we were pretty dam poor but so was everyone lol. In 1967, Canada’s centennial year some how my parents scrape enough money together to take six kids to our neighbouring province of Prince Edward Island for a tenting trip. The eight of complete with camping gear all piled into a Volkswagen Beetle with 3 feet of gear on roof racks. We had to stop twice on the highway because the roof rack wouldn’t allow enough air into the engine compartment to cool the motor. One of the things we brought with us was RAW BACON IN A CAN! I believe it was Danish bacon. This bacon was delicious but maybe it’s because when you’re camping, eating outside in the fresh air and you’re a kid everything just seems to taste better. Does anyone remember this raw bacon in a can? Is it still available? Cheers Wayne aka Weed
