He is cute but let’s see what you think when he destroys your house, furniture, bedding etc. He’ll be teething real soon good luck lol. Jokes aside you’re going to have a great companion and receive lots of love from him. As a plus he will likely protect you and keep all the creeps away. Cheers

I took those back and bought 2 from Costco. They are made of 304 stainless. I used one of the new pots. No rust and cleaned up perfectly. -

The jelly was made with mostly Mcintosh apples. They are sweet and tart at the same time. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/McIntosh_(apple) -

@Timmah! @RobMc @Hunter1948 here is the Apple Jelly taste test. My bread is on it’s second raise but I couldn’t wait that long to taste the jelly. These videos I mostly make for all me relatives. I always say “I don’t deserve it” the story behind “ I don’t deserve it” my mom’s father always said that when he was given a treat of some sort. He was French and always said “ah, ah, ah, ah I don’t deserve it” both my mom’s parents lived into their mid 90’s. I’ll include a picture of my bread doe.

Congratulations and welcome to XI

Lol @RobMc I hate Monty Python as well. I’ve only watched a skit or two and always change the channel. I’ve never been a fan.

@RobMcdid you get fired from that writing job you had with Monty Python?

No pectin, everything I read and watched says apples have plenty of pectin if you boil them to 220 F. The syrup was jelling while I was bottling it. And it jelled on the pot and ladles. I’m making bread in the morning I’ll to a taste test.

The wife and her sister went to er brothers summer place for a few days. Before she left she cut and peeled a bunch of apples for apple crisp Mmm. I took those peels and cores and cut up 5 pounds of apples to make apple Jelly. I like doing this kind of stuff when she leaves. That way I have no one around to tell me HOW WRONG I’M DOING IT LOL. I cooked the apples down with water and a tablespoon of cinnamon and strained them through cheese cloth. I gathered 10 cups of nice apple juice. Added 9.5 cups of sugar, 3 table spoons of lemon juice and boiled that down until I had a temp of 220F. I was able to fill five 500ml mason jars. I then put the bottles in a 10 minute water bath. Sadly one of my bottles broke,I ended up with 4 bottles. This is my first time doing this but it looks pretty good. Taste test tomorrow, can’t wait.

Firing Up the NApoleon Propane Grill
WeednFeed replied to WeednFeed's topic in Chilli's Cookery Forums
I grew up with 5 siblings and both parents, rare for today. We grew up through some lean years starting out. No toilet just an outhouse, no running water, just lugged water in a bucket. We always had the greatest food. The bread in the photo was toasted above the stove element using a bent coat hanger. That’s how we toasted our bread when we couldn’t afford a toaster that beautiful taste of charcoal toast never left me lol. Here is my toaster! -

I love grilled peppers! Try some grilled asparagus too. I also grill sweet onion rings. Before I grill my veggies I toss them in a bag, poor oil over them, season with salt, pepper and garlic powder. Mmm Here is a plate with pork chop, veggies and my home made bread! -

Just the Lemon Garlic sauce and ketchup. Crush the garlic then add salt. Mortar and pestle or use a spoon to puree the garlic and salt together, add oil of your choice then add lemon juice equal to 50% of the oil. I shake it in a mason jar. We use this sauce on fried chicken and home made fries. -

@Timmah! Fired up the grill this evening. I misspoke on the video the temp on the Sizzle zone is not 1800 F it is 800 Celsius that is 1472 Fahrenheit. What ever way you look at it it's HOT!
