  10. Wow they fired him for telling the truth! I was brought up that if I SCREWED UP there was going to be a reckoning. I was set on the right path by both my parents and all my relatives. I was loved, cared for, I was expected to act in a manner that would not embarrass myself or my family. If I acted up I paid the price. Take a look around today, it’s so sad so many people are disconnected from the real world. So many people with their faces stuck in a phone. Nobody talks nobody smiles. I’m 63 my parents are 88 and 85. The world has changed so much it really is scary but I suppose people born in 1895 saw the sam thing.
  11. Yes Canadian units of measurement are officially metric. Every store posts costs of meat and produce in metric and pounds. All of our Wooden building products are in inches and feet. Two by fours are just 2 inch by 4 inch, sheets of plywood 4 feet by 8 feet. All pipe is measured in inches and feet. I worked in an oil refinery for the last 23 years everything was gallons and barrels. At the gas pumps we buy litres. We buy litres of milk and pounds of butter. in the 1970’s the Liberal government implemented the metric system in Canada. Immediately PRICES ROSE. Why? To pay for the costs of changing to metric. Sad but true! Vote Liberal, prepare for increased TAXES! Vote conservative start to have our national dept paid down. I’m 63 I vote Conservative. I want our government to pay down the dept. I have to pay my bills, Why do Liberals feel they can just keep increasing the national dept. As it stands my granddaughter’s future has been mortgaged by our past and present Liberal governments. Every single time a government Liberal or Conservative introduces a SOCIAL program.......gives money to someone or some group that is a firm of MORTGAGE. Someone has to pay for all these giveaways. That someone is the middle class. Canada will never be out of dept, SAD. End of Rant
  12. The New Brunswick boarder is closed. If anyone from outside NB enters they have to self isolate for 14 days. Not sure if going to Quebec requires a 14 day isolation. I do know if I leave NB and return I’ll have to self isolate for 14 days. Crazy Covid-19 has the world all screwed up. If I did go to Quebec I would drop of some preserves to you and some pretty coloured eggs!
  13. I can’t see the tater! Should this be called A Melody Of Cheeses?
  14. You’re correct. I was fooled by the regular price of $169.99 marked down to $29.99 BULLSHIT MARKETING
  15. Sorry the boarder is closed lol. @AthenA
  16. Made another 10 pound batch and today while the wife was away I caned 12 bottles for stewed tomatoes.
  17. LOST 2 batches of Chow. Twenty pounds of green tomatoes and 8 pounds of onions. Have a look at the video. Canadian tire weren't gong to give me my money back until I kicked up a bit of a stink.
  18. The reason I am looking at this post again is I see it had 999 views! I wanted to be 1000! And I wanted to gain points! The same as Crack is doing lol! You're welcome Crack I just gave you more points to gamble with! @Crack?
  19. @Crack you are only here for the points lol so I helped you with a reaction lol
  20. Early Girl and Scotian. The Early Girl are an indeterminate the Scotian’s are determinate. I had to cut the ends of both plants to make them ripen. The Early Girl are braced to 4 feet but were hanging over2-3 feet more so I cut them back. The indeterminate would keep growing if you stake them. Flavour wise the Scotian’s win for me. The Early Girls are good if vine ripened. Ripening off the vine they’re ok but the Scotian’s win ripened on and off the vine.
  21. Been quite a year for the garden last week I picked a bunch of tomatoes, setting on the counter. We are getting heavy rains in the next 3 days. We need it bad. Today I had to pick the rest of them, second picture 1 five gallon of ripe 2 five gallon and 1 seven gallon of greens tomatoes. Unreal.
  22. The driveway is 198 feet by 11. The upper parking area is 66 by 45. The side of the garage is 11 by 30 the back of the garage and foyer is 30 by 30. These are approximate measurements. I was a little more careful when I estimated the coverage I figured just less than 16 buckets, I bought 17 and used 15.25 buckets. I’ve hired it out 4 times but previously at a cost of 1200-1600 I’d save a few bucks. The product clams 250-400 sq ft coverage. I used a 300 sq ft coverage when I did the math as my driveway is older and quite porous hence the reason I purchased 17 buckets, 1 more than my math calculations. Hey it worked out.
  23. I used 15 1/4 five gallon buckets. It took my Brother In-law and I 13 hours. At 63 I’m getting a little too old for this lol.
