  1. Gives me something to do! Decided not to work anymore. I might never go back lol.
  2. Well no appreciable amount of rain in sight so I had to take maters into my own hands. We have been experiencing drought conditions every summer for about 10 years now. I live Mile from this brook in the video and a few days ago I pumped about 1400 gallons of water on my 2 gardens. The setup is working out great.
  3. @Roxy! Here is another beautiful version!
  4. @Roxy! This is for the people of Argentina. Nichole Scherzinger performs a fantastic rendition. I hope you and everyone enjoy this. Weed
  5. Yes we had a shower the night before but only a tease. the upper part of the potato hills pretty dam dry. The garden by my garage I'm able to put a bit of water on it. I purchased a gas powered water pump and fittings, hoses. Look at the picture with by the garage you see that 250 gallon aprx tote. I did a trial run today and got everything working. the only thing I need now is a 1 inch spray nozzle. having a hard time to find one. Next time I run it I'll post some pictures.
  6. Hey Pappy, congratulations on the new granddaughter. I grew up in a 3 boys 3 girls household. You know the Catholic's didn't practice birth control lol.
  7. Granddaughters are the best I have 2! Congratulations on the gift from God?
  8. I tried to get new laying hens this year but the covid got all the closet chicken keepers out and there were non available. I was pissed off because I was in to the feed store 4 times in February and March and they just kept saying we are not taking orders yet. Then they said Oh we sold them all.
  9. Thanks my ground is quite acidic. That's why the potatoes do alright. The tomatoes are Early Girl, Sweet millions, Scotian's and another I can't remember the name right now. I have such a short growing season I have a hard time ripening the tomatoes on the vine. The Scotian's are VERY flavorful and are suited to this area. the others I just pick up what the big box stores bring in. The bedding plant marketing board shut down all the small mom and pop places I used to buy my bedding plants from. You know PRICE FIXING! I plan on having the soil tested this year to better understand the what I will require going forward. I'm sure I'll have to lime this fall. I will be amending the soil with leaves and manure as well.
