That was our 2nd time out, my wife and I went 4 years ago, did 2 nights in Edmonton and 3 nights in Calgary. Only got 1 day spent in Banff. This time we stayed right in Banff at the Banff Aspen Lodge for 3 nights. Wifey already planning next trip next summer. Fly into Calgary, 2 nights in Banff then drive to Jasper the scenic way, 2 nights there, then cross the mountains into BC and 2 nights there then fly home

Just got back last night from a trip out to western Canada. My Father is 74 years old, terminal cancer, and never seen the mountains. It started out as just myself my wife and my mom and dad going. We booked everything, then the next day my Dads specialist called with new CT scan results, the tumor in his back is pressing against his spine, 2 choices, 9 hour operation with a 10% survival rate or 10 heavy doses of radiation and being paralyzed in 6 months to 1 years time. While my parents were talking it over the Dr called back, he talked to the surgeon, he refuses to do the surgery as he is 100% sure my father would not make it off the table. With this news in mind I talked to my brother and sister and they joined in on our trip, 1st full family trip in 30+ years. We were out there Saturday till Tuesday. We got a whole lot of sight seeing and family time in. Mom shed happy tears, Pops literally said "Holy Fuck" when we came around 1 corner to a huge mountain in our view. It was an amazing trip filled with memories! People, get out there and do shit with your life now! Dont be like my pops and wait for grave medical news till you start to do things cool in life. You never know what life is going to toss your way, so live it to the fullest while you can! Any Canadians on here, if you have never been to Banff, get your ass out there! I HAVE to be safe) so they unfriend you... not a bad side effect at all in my mind... fuck em.. my body my choice A couple friends had the AZ with similar results as yoy.. achy fever/flu symptoms for a day or so

I love playing, been off and on playing for 28 years, more on in the last 6 years than off. Currently own a '72 Gibson Deluxe (used by lead guitarist of Monster Truck to record 90% of their first album) a 2011 '61 reissue in TV Yellow (Only 100 were made that year/color sold exclusively in Canada, she is a rare one, also, lead guitarist of Monster Truck has one LOL) a 2018 Les Paul Special in TV Yellow (yes i love TV Yellow) and a dark green '92 Gibson Special My guitars far outshine my abilities LOL

Ok, many if not all by now know of my obsession with the Canadian rock band Monster Truck. I have seen them play live 30 times now, I have played ONSTAGE with them for a song once. I am in one of their music videos. Backstage with them all the time, hang out usually once a week with the lead singer. I am the ultimate fanboy when it comes to this band! I have multiple signed albums, posters, jackets, shirts and all that. Well, yesterday I acquired the holy grail!!! I caught wind that the lead guitarist was thinking on selling one of his guitars, a 1972 Gibson SG Deluxe that he never uses any more , it is red and he since has changed to only Yellow guitars (yes I have 2 yellow guitars same as his as well LOL) he used it for over 90% of the recordings on their best selling album Furiosity. Shot him a text and we got to talking it all over, he gave me an AMAZING deal on it as I am pretty much the 5th member of the band LOL, he sold it to me with 2 stipulations, 1.... I don't sell it.... 2.... IF the band gets huge in the next few years he buys it back from me, at over 3 times what I paid him for it AND he will give me a different guitar... SOLD!!!! So now I am the proud owner of some of the bands history!!!!!! He even signed the back of the headstock for me. The guitar is beat up, used, well played, has traveled the world, and is now mine!!!!!
