Somebody asked, "Why smart?". I was told you had to train the vines to climb. Huh? OK, I hung a nylon rope down and placed the runner of the vine on it. Nothing, so I wrapped the runner slightly around the rope. Next morning the runner had wrapped itself around six inches of the rope and was climbing like mad. D'oh, that's cute. Did the same thing with the rest, and they're all headed for the sky.
As far as a business venture, I'm extremely leery of advice given on agricultural matters. When I hear "all you have to do", I get a little gun-shy. My wife & I love visiting the wineries in our area, and every single proprietor has told us, if they knew how much work was involved, they never would have started. Same thing here. We'll try this, and I'm sure we'll encounter the pitfalls shortly.
