  8. Right, have YOU forgiven US for Wallace Simpson yet? On the side, long live Prince George (VII, if he chooses to be created that)
  9. I only have one beverage......after the other. (try that line on a police officer, they REALLY enjoy it)
  10. lol, I don't care what people say, just so they log on. If a complaint is what you wish, how about the fact that even people who supposedly read and speak English as their native language, aren't articulate.
  11. Right m8, have a superb day, and a few more to go with. Happy Birthday & no worries.
  12. Happy Birthday Big Mean........I mean Big Papa Dean. Have a wonderful day!
  13. Happy Birthday Boomer! Enjoy & many more!
  14. Yeah m8, and you haven't even passed the magic half-century mark. Welcome to the world of Today is as Good as It's Going to Get. Comfort yourself with the idea that it's all downhill from here, and the equipment you started with has run out of warranty, with no replacement. J/K, take care of yourself, back problems are a constant concern, get that under control & everything else seems to be minor.
  15. Happy Birthday Patch. Damn, a zero ending birthday. Try to have a good one anyway m8!
  16. Fell in love with the Humber 4x4 in Ice Cold in Alex. That's one handsome ride, especially w/soft top.
  17. I dunno about voting, but this puts LOM in his place.....
  18. Sorry and Condolences for your loss Pwr. Never the fun part of life.
  19. I'll have to do some searching, it was a Ballantine book, but it wasn't The Phantom Major. Another of my favorite movies was The Train, starring Burt Lancaster. They must have had a ball making that movie, because all the train smash-ups were with the real thing. All these old locomotives & rolling stock were laying around awaiting the scrappers torch. Might as well crash a few making a war movie. http://nzetc.victoria.ac.nz/tm/scholarly/tei-corpus-WH2.html Here's a website that's a wealth of information on the New Zealand side of things in the desert. Endless info about the Greek & Crete battles. Detailed logs on the NZ LRDG participation. You could spend years reading all the history that was recorded.
  20. Digging through my books, How about Brazen Chariots by Major Robert Crisp? With Rommel in the Desert by H.W. Schmidt? Know I had a book by David Stirling, describing the exploits of the SAS in North Africa, but damned if I can find it. Used a program AVStoDVD to expand the downloaded .mkv files and burn to dvd. The movies Sea of Sand & Ice Cold in Alex turned out beautiful, and my wife even enjoyed watching them. The Long, and the Short, and the Tall was an .avi file, and didn't come out as nice, but still watchable. Any other suggestions SOB, pile em' on!
  21. Found & downloaded all three movies (already had Play Dirty & Too Late the Hero). Gritty British films all, highly recommend them to anyone who appreciates a more realistic view of war, rather than Hollywood's cliches'. Thanks SOB!
  22. mp_portside is the problem. This map is a spawn-rapist special anyway. Toss this one and the troubles will go away. You hear me talkin' 2 Many Beers?
  23. LOL, ty SOB, gonna search for some torrents. Richard Attenborough is another favorite actor of mine. When Lori & I were in London, we stopped into a pub in Chelsea. Bunch of middle aged guys came in all excited after being at an auction. We were complete strangers, but they bubbled over onto our table talking about the models & toys they purchased. We were old chums the minute I recognized a packaged Matchbox Bedford lorry rigged up as LRDG. Can't mistake the Lewis guns mounted in tandem.
  24. What's the deal with "no free entities" error? Only happens for one map on the ACE server, but it's annoying.
