Different looking vessel. At 4 billion a copy, and a displacement exceeding WW2 heavy cruisers, I wonder if the Bureau of Ships knows what it's doing. Destroyers traditionally have been ships that were relatively cheap, built in large quantities, and openly risked in hostile environments. Seems that thinking has gone by the wayside. I was a member of the Navy League for 25 years, but dropped my membership over the LCS white elephant. Didn't make sense to build 2 billion dollar coast guard cutters to run down $50 rubber rafts. What do ya'll think?

Sorry UK. On the farm, it was a ritual to find the spring kittens, and play with them before their moms knew they were found. I knew generations of cats, and I cried over every one that died. Miss them all, I do, and cherish their memories 20+ years later.

What I remember, was that kids didn't have rights. Just like animals & criminals. Only adults had rights, and they exercised them, sometimes brutally. You had no rights, and you were forced to acknowledge that fact, or be hammered into submission. Once you were an adult, you joined the magic club that allowed you to voice your opinion, along with paying for the privilege. Today? Every sniveling wretch gets their complaint aired, and answered, whether they are an adult, citizen, or taxpaying member of this society. -
