BTW.. a lesson I learned the hard way.. if you ever expect to run in sLi mode or crossfire with 2 graphics cards.. if you can afford it.. go ahead and get a 1000watt powersupply. I lost money on a 750 that I had to return because I figured out after I ordered it that I needed minimum 950 to run 2 5800 series cards.
the PSU section is the most forgotten part of a pc....well said Bama LOL
but its the same there...its not all about watts
you have to have a look at the max amperes at the +12V rails....this is the most important part for SLI or CF
there are many less efficient PSUs for a little amount of money...
but in worst case you will have to deal with BSODs and crashes a lot....
I use Enermax for a long time now....expensive LOL almost 200 bucks but really happy with it
my 850 watts PSU can handle 3 6970s in triple CF( 35 A on each +12 V rail)
