  1. Hello
  2. Gump As crysis2 is only directx 9,seems pretty stupid to bundle it with a directx 11 card. http://firingsquad.com/news/newsarticle.asp?searchid=23403 it will support DX 11 soon I think....at least we hope so...LOL but you are right...atm it supports DX9 only but it sounds like a nice deal to me anyways we had a post about this earlier http://www.xtremeidiots.com/fora_topic.asp?tid=15997|0#a0

  15. overclocking is overrated? hmmm if you use a nice crossfire or SLI setup like some have its not overrated it doesnt make sense to use a 6970 in CF and a 2.7 GHZ CPU because the cpu will always throttle your sys I OCed my i5 750 to 4 GHZ 24/7... @CplMOFO like I said I would have choosen a different RAM because I work a lot with video editing... Adobe After Effects works with a RAM preview.....and you need every single MHZ you can get LOL but again thats just me the difference at OCing my cpu is.... to render a video will take half the time ....and thats a big deal

  17. Astronomer Thanks for the link. I'll have to dig into this a bit more. I run GameBooster before I play. It shuts down non-essential apps and services and frees up as much memory as possible. Maybe that app's the problem, but I've been running it for a few months with no issues. I'll try updating my PB first to see if that stops this annoyance from happening again hmm I have used gamebooster sometimes but never had any issues with it not using it atm though LOL most of the time its just a little 3rd party utility like Sue said ....hope this helped
  18. PT-Bama For my 2 cents.. go Nvidia on graphics. I'm fairly satisfied with the two 5870's I'm using, but if I had it to do over I would go with dual GTX's. Don't get me wrong, I have great graphics.. but I have used Nvidia on all previous builds, and I'm not impressed enough with ATI to ever do it again. come on Bama...you bought 1 year old cards for a real nice price...I have followed your posts for sure you beat a dual 560 GTX and a single 580 with your setup....
  19. we had a topic about this before http://www.xtremeidiots.com/fora_topic.asp?tid=15513 I had a lot of issues being kicked because of my MSI Afterburner....
  20. cant wait for the results... maybe I would have ordered different RAM but thats just me...I am working a lot with video editing and my Gskill 2000 mhz rocks but for sure you will be able to OC this one the Noctua cooler is at the same level like my Prolimatec Megahalems... good luck with the CPU
  21. the RAM is awesome...guys go for it... I have almost the same RAM ....this one is F3-16000CL9D-4GBRM and I have F3-16000CL9D-4GBRH mine comes with a little better timings running stable with 8.0-9-8-24 1T the fastest RAM I ever had
  22. Blackbart So to do this do you have to run three separate video cards?... the three monitor setup works with ATI only since the 4000 series of ATI you have 2 DVI-D and 1 displayport or maybe a mini displayport or a HDMI connection connect number 1 and 2 with the DVI-D connections and with the sapphire passive connector you can connect the third monitor to your graphic card by display port and run them at 3x 1920 x 1080 or 1x 5760 x 1080 this is a setting at catalyst control center there are some special eyefinity versions of the 5000 and 6000 series of ATI they have 6 mini displayport connections and no DVI-D connection so you can connect up to 6 monitors with one graphic card like I said I use the middle monitor for gaming most of the time and the others for open applications like HLSW or TS or whatever though its fun to play on all three of them LOL but you need a really good card to play on nice resolutions with Nvidia you can have a dual monitor setup....at least thats what I know most of them have 2 DVI-D connections you can use for this setup
  23. X-RayXI Artimus Prime So, You can run a view of your shooting, one of your rear view and the third one put in spectate view????? Wow....!!!hehe I got to get me some of that!!!!!!
