Just thought I would chip a little in here, Stock market is not the root of all evil, greed is.
 
Greed is not good, greed is a method of upsetting the cart for others.
 
You guys say you are quite happy to sponge off companies and feel you have done them over such as BP, but you do realise on average that £1 in every £5 of everyones pension in the UK is linked to them?
So by getting one over on a company like BP, you are quite happy with hurting UK citizens and their futures right? Or perhaps those who invest in it say, Kraft for example, use borrowed money to buy Cadbury's, and thousands lose their jobs all for market share and share value. The price paid for dividend and share vlaue is a very high one indeed.
 
Hence, greed is pure evil, nothing truly good comes of it, perhaps only for those who profit from it. Although I will say, the stock market seems a mechanism of the greedy, rich get richer, poor get poorer by in large. Oh, if only the world were a little simpler!

Like I said before we can have 10 servers with all different gametypes and people still will not be happy. The issue that it comes down to is traffic, and we don't have enough XI members to populate all these servers people want. Also these servers are by far the most expensive we have and lately we have been struggling to reach the monthly goal limit. We are getting there at the last minute. I dropped a server last month and dropped the goal down to 650 but we are still 150 off that mark for the month so far. If I could I would drop a couple other servers to get that number down even more. Yes we have money in the bank to make up the costs but I don't wanna waste members money on very expensive servers that no one plays on. I would rather give it out in prizes.
 
For example we could make Caveys server, harcore metro, I know this will be populated because people love to rank up. But members of this clan have expressed their feelings in the past about that kinda server. They don't want it.
 
We could go down the line with what each person wants, create a server they want and they most likely will be the only MEMBER in the server. Then after the 1st day or two when the other members stop playing that server the member will go back to the none XI server they were playing on before.
 
With out the ability to create maps and mods this is the problem you get. You can't customize the server so its unique, so right now you can go to any server and get the same thing you would from an >XI< server. Except we can kick assholes from our servers.
 
I wish game companies weren't so greedy, just open up the mod and map tools so we can create shit that you can use in your upcoming releases. We will do the work for you, the people who play your games will create what they want in the games and you can just copy that in your next release and charge us $50 for it.

When I say drop other servers I'm not just talking about BF3 servers, just wanted to clear that up

No being funny guys, but this is part of the reason why I stopped being an admin, 1 week it is quiet, and so lets potentialy change it.
 
I know the last 2-3 weeks I have been busy and hard at work and not played much at all but....
 
It is an EU server, but the EU guys always help the US server, as SOB has said, reciprocation would help out and be good for all.
I am not taking sides, but adding my thoughts.
 
You cannot base a change request so quickly after a slow week, its summer, holiday season, to question someinthg being changed now is not necessary.
 
I had a few quick games yesterday and it was getting full.
 
Try not to be hasty in decisions, when in the past few weeks before last week it was running ok I believe.

Thank you Johnny, i am biased of course but i thought we did a great job, actually got a lump in my throat a few times, 1) The little boy singing Jerusalem (should be England's national anthem without doubt) 2) When the rings were raised 3) When i saw Mohammed Ali at the end, that was sad, so who cares what Mit Whatsisname had to say, he just a tosser who will be forgotten this time next year, thumbs up UK great job.

Also ban Xcal for having sigs. with swarthy rough, yet decidedly charming hunky looks hero's, I think he may have a fetish??!!

Shame we cannot take advantage of the cold temps. in Antactica, servers would probably run supersmooth!

I know us in th eU do find server based in NJ a lot better, less lag, better pings, so if it is possible at all, it would be a good step, good point xCal.

64 is absolutely no lag here.. may we can ask rugger to change the location of current 64 to NJ ??? that may help ppl with lag?

I must be honest I was surprised that the server got changed to mixed BK / CQ when the CQ was very young as a release.
 
Not being funny, I knew the this loast incarnation would not work, I very rarely see XI guys playing on Rush mixe dand other servers.
 
I am all for setting it back to CQ only, but only if others feel this is something they want.
 
Hardcore and softcore are supported and work.
 
I see no reaosn why CQ could not work, when I am able to game in the day with a few others we can make it work.

I don't think we gave the new close quarters games a chance here, we had a server and mixed all the new game types with Rush and the old conquest games, when new game types come out all people want to do is play them and nothing else until they get sick of it, i agree with Hans (blimey) i see loads of full servers playing the new conquest close quarters and gun games, they seem to be very popular everywhere but here, Rush is crap, i only saw one or two members say they wanted to keep it so we kept it?

I get tired of having to tell Bob he is a hottie all the time. But he does pay me good money to do it.

Also may I add that if all XI members and users to the forum can contribute in keeping all our servers going, our load will be much lighter on just a few who do.
