    Have had NoMorobo for a few months - catches about 98% of the calls - unfortunately it still rings once - like you said not perfect but free - the numbers it doesn't catch are the new ones - there is a way to report them through their site - have reported a few myself - have had my own number show up on caller id plus numbers like 800-123-4567. If NomoRobo can catch these numbers no reason why the phone companies can't block them at the switch - they don't want to be bothered

    Nothing wrong with what you're doing now - it's honest work but not something to make a career out of if you want to move ahead. When I was in Grad school I did what you did to help with expenses - earned a MS and ABD in Computer Science which gave me a great and rewarding career. The most important thing I learned is that IT changes every day. You have to keep on top of it or you fall behind quickly - ever hear of COBOL, CICS, JCL, BAL - probably not but those are the things that were hot when I started - of course dinosaurs were not very good with computers. Talk to recruiters,people in the field, look at job ads, etc. Keep an open mind. If I were to come out of retirement - that will happen the same day @@hxtr becomes normal - I would look into Cyber Security - the way things are going today I can see a good future in it - just my 2 cents - good luck
