an excellent card dean and a good price for it ---one will play all the cod4 games smoothly 2 in crossfire will get you towards that magic 60 fps constant framerate at all times on all settings ---(60 fps being the most our human eyes unaided can detect anyway )

may snatch a couple up myself for that price , they are usually quite a bit more expensive ----- if your playing some of the larger mmorgs such as everquest or WoW and want to see the spell effects on high with full raid force (54 people casting at same time ) you would need to definetly go with 2 cards otherwise one will  run all the cod4 series games decent enough to keep you competitive.

I run a 6850, diff brand but same price and I like it.

I need to boost my processor power now because that seems to be holding my system back

I used to buy ultra high end cards, but got sick of the damn things being 1/2 price in 6 months

I think the 6850 is the best bang for the buck, if the 6870 is around for anyplace near this price then that would be the one

There is a 1GB version of the XFX HD6950 that can be found for around $240, minus mail-in rebate...also, the Geforce 560Ti can be considered.

I agree with the HIS crapiola...I ordered one that was DOA (dead on arrival) back in the day...I know, stuff happens.

A few people recommended HD5870 cards, which are good cards. They're just being slowly discontinued. The HD6870 and HD6950s are the new cards...the hD6970 even better.

Now, on the 8th of March, HD6990 dual-gpu will come out!!! 60% more powerfull than GTX580! well, nVidia will come up with a card to counter that on the 15th...dual GTX570 I bet...

The problem with graphics cards is mostly the "naming scheme"...it's sometimes confusing...it leads some people to order older cards...some etailers are out-to-lunch pricing-wize also... they overcharge...
