The computer has been intermittent for about 5 years and I couldn't get any codes from the obd2. I replaced the computer with one on ebay cause I couldn't find one locally. before I replaced the computer The car acted like An OLD IGNITION SYSTEM when a plug misfires under load only worse. the millage went from about 15 down to about 6-7 and would stall at idle. after the computer I get an OBDII code of P1400 low voltage. I tried to look up what would cause it and all of the things related to the emission system I could find tedsted within normal limits. The car idles OK and the millage is up to ABOUT 10 . BUT STILL misses through the entire range from idle to about 65 except when not under load Can anyone tell me what else I can try to test? I dont have any money to just randomly dump money R&R pieces. Email me at clarksn4@comcast if you need any more info thanks, any help will be appreciated. Tom aka asasn8r

You might have to put a scanner on it to check whitch one is not working. Hope this helps Awards

They need to match no the serial of course. The computers are programed different for engine, trans, and other options you may or may not have. As far as the gas mileage go back to the basics and check compression, a strected timing chain, egr could need cleaning as well as AFM or upper intake. Does it have adjudtable valves. Now for the low voltage most people check that with a ohm / multi meterwhich will tell you that you have 12 volts but that is unloaded. Use a test light as well. For example yuo have a tail light out and the bulb is good so you put a meter on it and you have 12 volts . You put a bulb in it and still no light volts go away. Huh so that tells you that you have a loose or corroded connection or wire. IN a nut shell since a meter has a onboard battery it will not put a load on a circuit so use a test light as well. I hope this helps
