I was working in iowa and fell 25 feet due to a faulty latch on a scissor lift door. I was told that a judge in iowa will never assign 50 percent responsibility to an employer unless there is an expensive(for the injured party) and lengthy lawsuit! How bogus!! Four surgeries and 5 years later, I am no longer an Ironworker and the settlement was less than what I could have made in 2.5 years at just my locals hourly wage. that is minus all of the retirement benefits and such that i would have earned working! I hope things work out for you. I have been there. I feel for you. ROOKIE
 Awards
